I went to replace my starter this afternoon and found out that my starter was only mounted in with one stud bolt. Come to find out the other one has been broken off at the threads. WoW!! Can my local sea ray dealer back this out and retap it so the starter will be mounted correctly????

I ordered the taylor made center windshield for my 180 sport and didn't get the small rubber bushing for it to rest on when it is fully open to rest on. Any ideas where I might can pick one up?

Ok I havn't replaced my starter yet and took the boat out this afternoon. We rode around the lake off and on for about 4 hours and the boat ran great. Went to take the boat out of the water and the boat wouldn't start. I mean not even trying to turn over...not even a the accessory position...

I was out on the water yesterday and noticed I think my trim motor kept coming on and off about every 10 min but the actual sterndrive isnt moving. I don't think my boat has automatic trim setup......there isn't a switch for auto/manual unless there is something for this in the engine...

I just got home from a wonderful day on the water, although there is something I noticed. When I first turn the key there is a loud screeching noise. The motor turns over fine though and runs great. Would this be the starter or something in that area?

Just purchased my first boat. It is a: 2005 SeaRay 180 Sport BR with 190 hours. Hopefully it will turn out to be a good boat. I havn't really had a chance to get it out on the water for a true test yet. Let me know your thoughts and encouragement that I made the right decision. :smt001
