3.0L initial starting noise

I just got home from a wonderful day on the water, although there is something I noticed. When I first turn the key there is a loud screeching noise. The motor turns over fine though and runs great.
Would this be the starter or something in that area?

Sounds like a belt slipping to me. Check the tension and see if that is the issue. Did your motor get wet? I once lost an O-ring on my top drain cock and it dripped/sprayed water on my serpentine belt.
