Late 90's 270 Sundancer Thread

The switch on the right in that cluster is for the 110v lamp in the overhead light above the stove area. On mine when I took off the light fixture cover, I found that the bulb had just come unscrewed.

if the bulb is burned out... It is a difficult bulb to find and there is a thread here that has helpful information on it.

Alright. I’ll have to test that when I’m on the boat next. I thought the left switch turned the overhead light on, but I might be mistaken. When I was trying to figure it out on my own I couldn’t find any lights that I was unable to get to come on. I could have just overlooked it though. Thanks for the info.

I see now that the right one is the 110v. Which is why it wasn’t doing anything while I was on DC. And also what you said. Took me a while, but now I’m with youJ.

Sorry I could have been more clear on that... the light fixture over the stove top is a dual voltage fixture that holds a 12v bulb and a 110v bulb. One switch for each circuit 12v left and 110v right.

Did you get any results on this?
I have the same question.
Water is going down behind the cushions and into the engine compartment.

I have tried many searching a few threads for a solution to my problem. Problem is I have to run a new cable from new stereo in cabin to a new wired remote at the helm. Does anyone have info on how to get cable around V-berth by possibly removing upholstered panels and such? Also would appreciate any speaker recommendations that are a direct fit in the original cutouts. Thanks in advance

I do not monitor this forum much anymore but this is the information you are looking for.

Can someone do me a favor and snap a photo of the bottom of their cockpit table? Is there supposed to be an offset spacer, to make one side higher?

Thanks!

Well I went ahead and installed the table with the spacer, since it allows the table to sit level while docked. Not sure if it is factory or not, but it works well.

Also installed a 32" TV in where the bow mirror is, used strips of 3" x 3/4" oak spacers and industrial Velcro. Photos upon request...

Coogan my engine room light switch is on the left side dash panel second switch from left above the trim tabs, just right of the horn switch. Hope this helps you.

Switch is located in switch panel to the left of the steering wheel. Middle row of switches. I may be wrong!

Hey, thanks a bunch. Mine has an offset spacer under the table side bracket that makes the table higher in the rear of the boat. It was a nice addition since it makes the table more level while the boat is at rest. The downfall is I don't think you can convert it to a sun pad with the offset spacer on, but I don't seem to have the right size pole for that anyway.

Mine has the pole, but it makes the table level with the cushions, and higher than the legs on the bottom. I need to figure that one out.

First time out in our 270. How does the heat work? I know it works while engine is running but was under the impression that it also ran off shore power?

What details do you need?

Heat does not work with the engine. The water heater does. Unless you have a genny hvac only works on shore power. Open the sea cock, prime the system, set heat or ac at thermostat on bulkhead in front of dinette.

You have no boat information listed in your profile, year make model etc. what heat do you have? Is it the cruiseair? Are you on the lake or at dock? Are you even in the water? Things like that. Give a good narrative of your situation and we can help you. The heat is in no way connected to the engine. It will only work in the water. It must have AC power to run.
