    Great South Bay Boater

Hey Seacurity: Who else bolted from SS3 Lindenhurst and went to Oakdale? It's a nice place at Oakdale and well east of the RMB so you are already ahead of the game if you travel to Watch Hill or further east. I did love my slip neighbors at SS3 Lindenhurst but I guess it just wasn't meant to be.

    Great South Bay Boater

Hi Bam073: I am only a 3rd season boater. I will be keeping my boat at Oakdale Yacht Club this coming 08 summer season. I also bought both of my Sea Ray boats from SS3. My saleperson was the used boat sales manager, Mark Walbrecker. He is a great guy. If you have a chance introduce yourself...

    Non-Skid Surfaces

Hi: I have a 97 400DA and am having some definite difficulty with my non-skid surfaces on the boat. Mainly on the rear platforms (including bolt on swim platform) and on the bow. The non-skid surface is almost non existent on the platforms and not very good on the bow. Is there an...

    For Sale Nirbal Props

Hi RW: Did you ever sell those Nibral props. I have a 97 400 Sundancer that takes, 22 x 23 x 1.5 R4BC and L4BC Nibral props. I wonder what the real difference would be in performance between the 21x23 and my 22x23 props since they are the same pitch? OJ

Hi All: This Saturday, my company is having their annual picnic at the Tiana Shores Club which is in East Quogue on the westside of Tiana Bay. I was thinking of going there with my boat. I looked at all the tide tables but not sure which one I should us. You have Moriches Inlet, Potunk...

    Engine Synching Problem

:smt017 Has anyone heard of the engine synchronization unit having some sort of a governor on it that will prevent the engines from going over a reduced rpm. Normally, I can top out at around 4700 rpms but when I put my engine synch on, it only goes to 4K rpms and will go no further. Has...

LCD with build in DVD player project

Steve: If you take a look at Peter's first post on this you will see that his tv has built in volt stabilizer and can run on AC or DC. My suggestion would be to check with tv mfgr to see if AD/DC adapter is available of buy an inverter to hook up to the tv so you can run off of DC. Good...

Aquapalooza - Oyster Bay Long Is., North Shore!

TurtleTone: I think it might be too late but try giving Gina Barnett a call. I don't have her number with me but her email address is: gina.barnett@marinemax.com. ALso if you call SS3 in Lindenhurst they should be able to give you her number. I think it will be a lot of fun and you should...

Aquapalooza - Oyster Bay Long Is., North Shore!

Seabird: I used to be in S23 before I bought the bigger boat. What slip are you in? Now I am in A24 just across the parking lot from you. We made a run to Watch Hill about 2 weekends ago with Steve and Peggy Lavelle (On A Whim located in S dock) and Capt Ciro from SS3. Steve and Peggy have...

Aquapalooza - Oyster Bay Long Is., North Shore!

Hi Seabird: I am gearing up for this weekend. We still have stuff to bring down to the boat but we should be okay. We were thinking of going there on Friday evening while it is still light. We could probably leave around 7-7:15Pm and still make it with daylight left to spare. This thought...

LCD with build in DVD player project

Thank you Peter for the website information. Hope your time on holiday was enjoyable. Did you go somewhere with your boat? Since my email to you, I have purchased a 23" Toshiba Lcd HDTV TV/DVD combo which I am taking to and from the boat as I want it. It works out nicely because I can place...
