Remember Jeremy of SRO,he is living a nightmare

Wow, what a thread. Nolan kind enough to let me know about this thread quite some time ago... I do apologize for the length of time before I responded. I thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers. I cannot express how much it means to our family that so many of you were thinking about...

280DA Air Duct Cover Removal-Under Dinette

I have not had this piece off.... but I would guess it is screwed in place like everything else... I have not yet found much on this boat that is just snapped on. Have you felt around in the carpet fibers for screw heads in the compartment under the forward dinette seat?

    Cockpit Carpet Replacement

I got my replacement carpet from snapincarpet this summer. They have a backing called Aqualok that is not the foam based product that comes with the regular carpet. The color is called moonshine. I pretty sure my total was right around $675 with the upgraded backing. The carpet is...

    Cruisers with color

Hi Spot. I have a black hulled 280DA that I have owned for 4 years now. We do keep the boat moored in fresh water with the exception of a few weeks out for maintenance. Before my 280DA I owned a 220 Bow Rider with a black hull. To put it plainly a dark colored hull can be more work depending...

    sealing all screw holes

If the sealant will be visible and exposed to the sun I like 4000 UV (which has been around for several years just much less common). Stays bright white even after years in the sun (personal experience). The strength and bonding characteristics seem to be similar between 4200 and 4000 UV...

    Burglar alarm suggestions, opinions

We are searching for a solution on the same boat. The Mobilelock device will certainly guard your cabin.... but may be more device than you are looking for. When MM went out of business (where did all the cabin mater keys go?) I bought a Masterlock Python. It is what I would call a rope lock...

    Burglar alarm suggestions, opinions

I should have explained better... in order for the bad guys to get onto our docks within the marina they have to bypass very visible night vision cameras throughout the marina, around the perimeter, and at the harbor entrance for those that wish to swim in. They also have to find a way around...

    Burglar alarm suggestions, opinions

 @ $30 I bet it works great.... now where are you going to get the guy to sit up 24x7 and watch the CC TV monitor :smt043 I am not sure how it would be taken in other states but the CHP would take issue with me running cable 23 miles down the highway from the marina to my home

    Burglar alarm suggestions, opinions

http://www.dewaltmobilelock.com/ I am testing Mobilelock by DeWalt currently on our boat. So far I am pretty impressed with what this unit can do. It is aimed at the construction market but I think it has some amazing uses on a boat, RV, etc. Per the mobilelock guys I have spoken with it...

    Quicksilver 2-4-C vs. 101 vs. U-Joint grease

http://clubsearay.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1932 This link may provide some value. I regularly buy all of the grease you have listed and use as specified in the service manual. I personally choose not to roll the dice when we are talking about a sleeve of lube under $20. If you do stumble...

    Official 280 Sundancer Thread

We are here on the West Coast as well and the temps will quite often push 100+. We have a black hull and have not had out gel coat slide off or anything in 4 seasons... :smt001 The black hull is very good about showing water spots and dirt. Keeping the hull properly polished, waxed and washed...

    Official 280 Sundancer Thread

To remove the starboard side wall of the mid-cabin you will need to remove the beauty caps on the 4 screws in each corner. They are colored similarly to the wall vinyl and are held in place with a little adhesive. I used a little Goo Gone to remove any stubborn adhesive. I backed all 4 screws...
