88 Days and counting

Opens his eyes and he see's just fine.( just kidding) I usually have him down when the water is real clear.Several times a year it is very clear. We keep our boat at Maryland Yacht Club.Great place for the boat, one minute off the bay, fuel discounts, mobile pump outs plus pump out at the fuel dock,pool,restaurant/bar,gated.Just stay out of the POLITICS!

I just looked up your Marina on the internet. Nice. Looked at some of the pics from the marina activities. I'll have to come that way to see the water. I boat in the middle, I guess, of the bay. Bush River, Middle River, Fairlee Creek, Still pond etc. I think it is more brackish up by us. Always stay out of the politics. I used to be the Rear Commodore and the Commodore. Fun jobs that can be tough at times.

Greg, great winter pic! One question, how do they get the straps for the wrap under the boat?

OR HOW DO THEY SHRINK WRAP IN THE WATER???????

There is about 8 of us at the marina that leave our boats in over the winter, including the marina manager. He allows us to take the dinghy dock over to each of the boats in order for the shrink wrap guys to do the "water side" of the boat. As for the straps, they start at the bow and with a guy holding on both the port and starboard side they work it down into place. I am very happy with this company, they do a great job every winter.

Nice!!

31 Days and counting!!! Today i bit the bullet and paid the 50% balance on the winter/summer dockage of $3660. And committed 50% to repair the exhaust ports and the bottom work. For those that are curious I was quoted $4500 to soda blast, barrier coat, hard coat and two coats of ablative. I was also quoted $1000 to dig out the area around the exhaust ports and replace the cavasil with fiberglass, gel and buff so they don't crack again. Now i have to decide if i should replace the fuel/water pumps at $675 each or rebuild the water and replace the fuel. I had an outside Merc dealer look at them and he said replace, 1997 approximate 500 hours. What do you guys think? Please post your thoughts and comments on any of it.

30 days Russ! I must say that went fast for me. And now that I'm all done with my Winter "chores", I just have to count down with you. Brian

Brian, it did go by fairly quickly. Watch it drag now!! Any new additions to the boat planned?

When we get in the water is all going to depend on "FLOOD WATERS"!

How long does it usually take to subside?

Marshall I'm actually going in a little later than Russ but 1 day earlier than you! So there! Ha. Yes I saw that mess Sat when I handed in my Spring work order.

30 days. The weather will be crappy in April as it usually is, but I can work on it in the water. It's made to be in the water, and not on the land.

Taking delivery and launching on April 6th. I can't wait any longer.

I sure hope the yard can get the work done in time for my launch date. They have yet to put her inside for the bottom job and exhaust port glass work.
