88 Days and counting

Looks like I may be delayed to launch at least a week. The bottom is clean and they are taping it off, the fiberglass exhaust port repair is going along also. They have put her inside for the work, just in time to avoid this storm. Should be finished and launched next week. How is progress going for everyone else?

Im in the water, they are finishing her up for this Sunday, Sunday i'll be ready, only thing i was told is to NOT use fresh water system as yet, still has anti freeze due to the cold snap, other i'm good to go sunday...

Crap Russ! I have been counting down with you all Winter and kept thinking 4/1, 4/1, 4/1. Now you will be closer to me. ( 4/14) :) Hope all goes well. (Too darn cold to boat up here anyway).:smt013 Brian

Thanks Brian, I know! I did see her today, the exhaust ports look brand new- they did a great job. They have barrier coated the bottom so looks like a few more days and I am in. So now I am shooting for the 8th! Are you doing your own work or does the yard do it? You only have two weeks!!

I'm doing a bunch of "stuff" to my boat Russ so I'm not really rushing getting "home" to mystic. I think it might take me 'till close to may 1 to get there, but that's ok with me.

Nice! Congrats!

I removed the shrink wrap, put up the canvas, cleaned the props and waxed her. That alone saved me about 800.00 bucks:) Everything else.... Marine Max. Good luck and I hope you have a great season! Brian

days away from water. shrink wrap off and boat waxed and polished. drive gets mounted and bottom painted this week weather permitting.

hey brian i want to clean my props off also, what did you use and can i use a sanding disk on my cordless?

Joe, that's what I have done for years and never had issue. Just use a mild grit and light pressure.
Joe, I'd listen to Russ on that one. I have stern drives and stainless steel props so I'm not sure what you would use on yours. But if anybody want's to know how to get Bravo 3 props looking brand new it's MaryKate On/Off hull and bottom cleaner. Brush on and it will remove everything easily with just a Scotch Brite pad. And I've tried EVERYTHING! Amazing stuff.

Joe,

I will second that on/off that Brian is speaking of- if you have not used it it really is great stuff, great for hull stains too. Sometimes though I have found it necessary to use a light grit on a portable just resting with no more pressure than it's own weight, cleans it right up. Good luck.

On another note it looks like Friday is launch day!! Can't wait

I just made my drop in appt for next Friday! Let's hope the ice is off the lake by then.

Nice! I was not so fortunate. Marina had asked me to come down Friday for launch only to find out that they had neglected to move the poppets and paint underneath. So they have to start the same barrier/paint wait process all over again. I was not happy, however I was able to help some friends that did launch. Sooo, now I am hoping for next week. Good thing this all started with an April 1 scheduled launch date, I may just make it in for the good weather!!
