It is funny what a couple of members can do to a board / forum

If you do not like the forum or the moderators or the owners go find another home....and personally I do not have to explain myself to you. The posting worked as it got people to stop responding to the troll....again we are a group of members who enjoy talking about boats and sharing information. The rules are posted and inforced, that said we make judgement calls (sometimes the wrong judgement calls) and as I have told you before when you play with a bee hive you are likely to get stung. Again either enjoy the community that Jim has given us or leave, does not matter, but the way the forum is run is not changing, so you can quit posting that we suck at running a forum.

Wesley,

This is a well thought out and reasoned reply, well done!

As I’ve stated, I have no problem participating while continuing to conform with the CSR Forum Rules. This is contrasted to the uteral emotions displayed by members w/ gigantic egos that flaunt and ignore the decorum and maturity those rules define.

The CSR Forum Rules define a boating forum, not the anarchy of unfettered childish behavior. The CSR Forum Rules define procedures for handling inappropriate conduct. If different conduct is expected from me, then change the CSR Forum Rules and I guarantee the same members that follow the existing CSR Forum Rules will follow the new rules.

Clearly I’m obtuse, any more obtuse and I’ll be acute, because it wasn’t clear to me this topic was intended to be another one-sided criticism of one forum member. Just spell that out on the next “subtle” instigation and I again won’t participate w/ the adolescents stroking each others’... ego, while they attack that one member in their love-fest.

It’s your choice to shun conformance to the CSR Forum Rules from the infantile members. My guess is there’s a back-story mandating that dynamic. No problemo w/ that... But, there are less-vocal members hoping for the greater etiquette that the CSR Forum Rules define.

And its “wingless”, Parsley.

Blah blah blah…….more verbiage from wingless.

Wingless: I know this guy who is only 5 foot tall You appear to both suffer from the same condition. The colloquial term for it is Napoleon complex.

It appears that you do not like the advice that you receive here or the way the board is run, and many of the regular posters could probably care less to ever hear from you again. So why not do everyone a favour, including yourself, and go away. Find somewhere with a bunch of likeminded individuals where you can be happy. This clearly isn’t that place for you!!

I think Wingie boy :smt101types with one hand on the key board and the other on a thesaurus trying to make himself (or herself) appear more cerebral than he (or she) really is. What a putz.

Mike - great find!

So - how about a new rule for CSR - if someone is disruptive enough to cause this level of animosity then a poll is created. Poll can be as a simple as:

* Poster should be blocked
* Poster should not be blocked
* Don't care, etc....

Majority rules and if that is the poster should be blocked then they get removed. Not sure if IP blocking is possible but would certainly be worth a shot.

Wingless,

You have only been a member of this forum for a very short time. In that time, you have at great length criticized a number of members for their behavior. Following that, you have engaged in that very same behavior in greater quantity and depth (again in your short time), while still criticizing others for the same.

Let's look at the percentage of your posts that contain this type of behavior. I'm sure that would make you a member of a very, very elite group on this board.

So mistercomputerman agrees with wingless. Next time please use quotation marks.

Please feel free to impress w/ your thesaurus-telligence. Sure, I’ve used ‘em in a pinch, but I know I’m not alone feeling they’re too limiting. I instead rely on the working vocabulary at my disposal.

Sorry it wasn't clear, I must have been typing too fast. I'm not critical of members, just conduct that doesn't conform to the CSR Forum Rules.

There is no problem with me agreeing that I’ve been a strong proponent for terminating the personal attacks and following the rest of the CSR Forum Rules. These personal attacks are pervasive and degrading the forum. It is easier to attack the person than discuss the topic. Engaging in personal attacks doesn’t create a positive impression of the poster’s intelligence.

Other than my eventual replies to the cacophony of attacks in the Anarchy and Lawlessness topic how have I attacked anyone?

There are now two topics devoted to personal attacks on me, one authored by an administrator. What forces exist that prevent the administrators from maintaining order? Are the most egregious violators ingrained with the forum administration?

I agree to follow the CSR Forum Rules! Can anyone else make that claim?

Looks like you missed this posting...I keep saying I am done talking to you but figure if you just keep repeating yourself I will just continue to repeat myself.
