It is funny what a couple of members can do to a board / forum

Looks like you missed this posting...I keep saying I am done talking to you but figure if you just keep repeating yourself I will just continue to repeat myself.

Come on Wes he (Gary) is just trying to get your goat. I truly believe wingless here is really Gary with an alternate account. Stirring the pot?? Come on wingless, let us know, are you really Gary in disguise? Inquiring minds want to know. Wes, trace the IP and let us know.

Wes, instead of repeating yourself why not address the question that Wingless has asked numerous times. It might go a long way in resolving the disagreement?

There are now two topics devoted to personal attacks on me, one authored by an administrator. What forces exist that prevent the administrators from maintaining order? Are the most egregious violators ingrained with the forum administration?

Wingless, maybe you should sell your Sea Ray and buy a boat from another brand. It would fix your issue with the bottom paint, you would probably join another "brand X" forum so no more personal attack from CSR members, CSR moderators would be relieved as well as other CSR members except for a couple to whom you are a hero, and finally you would have more free time since you would not have to write these complex replies....

Wingless. . . .

Having had my turn at being a pariah, and having at least one thread openly attack me,, all I can say is that it really does take work to tick off Wes. He does enforce rules, but there are limits to what he can do.

At some point, you have to recognize that life is not fair. If it is fair, it is only fair on a macro, not micro, scale.

You also have to recognize that every board has its own quirks and biases. You either work within those constraints or you don't. If you don't. . accept the consequences.

Wingless attacked wes first! Jim (board owner) and Wes (key moderator) have both made their point of view clear so why would wingless stay?

Lock the thread, ban the IP address...:smt100

VERY SIMPLE!

Wes, time for you and Jim to step up and really be moderators till this crap stops. :smt024

Then somebody will complain that we censor the board. Its a no-win on our end. I think Comsnark said said it best.

Agreed, I've been waiting for an answer to that too so I understand the difference moving forward.

Well said, +1

Seems counterproductive. What's the sense of being the "Head Potstirrer" if you're ignoring those who are not in agreement with you?

Somehow I get the feeling his post/pic was simply for a pat on the back, an at a boy, a "you go Gary" and the box has already been unchecked. Am I right? ;-)

Update::

LMAO.. thats funny..

Banter is only fun when the person on the other end can take it.

Blah blah blah…….more verbiage from wingless.

Wingless: I know this guy who is only 5 foot tall You appear to both suffer from the same condition. The colloquial term for it is Napoleon complex.

Hey, hey, careful there. There may be more than one person on the forum who isn't much over that. That being said, I can say from experience that there is some truth to your statement. Fortunately, I think I've gotten over it.

There are two sides to the same story. This is a rhetorical question: Is it fair that many people judge a person's worth by the outside appearance? The answer, obviously, is no. But, being short in stature, I admit I am prejudice against people who chose to present themselves in a lesser light than they should, be it from over-eating (pet peave), wearing their pants around their knees (the tops), or whatever. At least my affliction is not by choice.

I would be interested to see if you're right in this case. The nap complex is born from individuals who, looking out at the world (who don't see themselves as short - which you don't), cannot understand why others sell them short before given the opportunity to prove themselves either way. I was a Nap in my younger years. I learned in High School that if you stand up for yourself, the bullies back down and look like fools. This tends to make a short guy aggressive. It's a survival technique that is learned.

Success in my careers has allowed me to gain enough self-confidence to laugh at myself and my short-comings (stature, or otherwise). Side note: Every time I see a picture of myself with my friends, I have to step back and take another look. Damn, am I short or what? You just don't see yourself as that way on a daily basis. It's only in the last few years that I've consciously begun to think about it when out in public.

Every time I see a picture of myself I am holding a beer. I wonder, do I have a problem??
