... Every society needs a wingnut for SOMETHING. I'm posting this against my better judgement as an upstanding moral pillar of my community... HAHA. OK, you've all probably heard this but it still cracks me up - back in the Marines, we used to refer to short women as wingnuts, or spinners - if you can imagine threading a wingnut of a car's air cleaner cover on the bolt... well you get the picture. I don't want to go into too much detail as this IS a family frendly forum... :thumbsup:

Please accept my sincere apologies for upsetting the tender sensibilities of the seasoned forum veterans, forcing them to report me over and over again for “instigating”. Perhaps my initial reactions to these moderator notices was inappropriate, as I felt the veterans conduct in the forum was juvenile and their repeated post reporting, “whining”, reinforced that opinion. Also, as I’ve stated, while I was unable to find conformance to the CSR Forum Rules prohibiting: “flaming; abusive; slanderous; hateful; mocking or name calling” I’m being cited for “instigating”.

So other are flaunting non-conformance to the published CSR Forum Rules and I’m being cited for an imaginary rule!

My reaction had been that while I’ve refused to engage in personal attacks, others demonstrate their bruised ego, from piercing their angstrom-thin skin by engaging in myopic focus on attacks, ignoring the subject.

Again, please quote ANY instance where I’ve engaged in ANY personal attack on anyone.

Maybe I’m wrong, but the information I’ve posted has yet to be contradicted.

Unfortunately the replies to the topic have reinforced the OP. There is not conformance to the CSR Forum Rules, except by me and a few others. There is now even a [URL="http://clubsearay.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14705"]topic[/URL] devoted to the mocking of a forum member. Thank goodness the conduct of those engaged in violating the forum rules is totally justified!

There were some salient points in the various replies that merit a response.

“One thing you will notice is that many of us have opted to be fairly open about who we are and where we live/boat. We put this information in our signature lines and in our profiles. It's a quick as sure way to say that we are accountable for what we write on this forum. You have chosen to be more anonymous (which I believe should be against forum rules)”

This is an excellent point! Not only do I support changing the CSR Forum Rules to include this requirement, being a techno-geek, I request permission to amend this newly proposed rule. I propose that the large empty cavernous void between many forum members’ ears be filled with a GPS transmitter.

There are two initial uses I’d envision for that device. One is to populate the location field on the forum. The other is to tie into the E120 for interested parties, to set off a guard alarm when the distance-to-target closes to an unacceptable range.

Another excellent point! File post count along w/ reputation. Intelligent bipeds, or bivalves, its too hard to keep them straight here, can discern good information from scum. Who needs post count? Isn’t it just another way to stroke an over-inflated ego?

Great point! I’ve admitted to three intentional non-conformances that I’ve determined are acceptable to my usage of the vessel to improve utility. I’ve openly advised all to those facts. I’ve admitted I have no problem bringing the vessel into conformance, if required. Where is the problem? This is contrasted to hypocritical criticism, ignoring personal non-conformance to ABYC.

Besides, the SS Pending Smithereens and the “many cool mods” were only selected to satisfy a perverse sexual desire, “I wanted to get blown to bits”.

Guilty of skulking. Is there a point? I wanted to see where this went. Somewhere really really warm in a hand basket, unfortunately.

Wingless, again, lighten up. What is the big deal here? I am glad to see you are sticking around, but lighten up. Healthy debates should be able to survive the the occassional insult. ..... My fraternity was 1000 times worse than anythyng I've ever seen on this board, and we were all quite close.

There may have been constraints on juvenile conduct there too.

Help me understand here. You have seemed to waste an awful lot of time complaining about words written on an Internet Forum. Do you really care what someone you have no contact with other then on a computer screen writes or thinks? I have read some of the posting in question and I must say you have made some rather inflammatory comments yourself. Maybe not a personal attack such as those listed in the rules and regulations you are writing about, but just the same if you light the match are you prepared to deal with the fire? Maybe as Mrs. ”R” said, it is an attempt at humor. I must admit it made I got a kick out of it. But take in consideration your audience. If you are going to go to war, make sure you are prepared.

Now can we “stick a fork in it”?

The rest of your post was pretty much over my head as I had a hard time understanding what you were saying. Although i liked the pic of Gary's butt. But you really confused me with the GPS Transmitter thing. So you are suggesting we put a GPS satellite between forum member's heads? There is no way that would fit. Everybody would look like oversized teletubbies. :huh:

yeah, that's the way it is around here. There are definately a few individuals that display grade school behavior on the board.

The mockery you have received is tame compared to what others have gotten.

The moderators do have their hands full. . . there are a few who definately seem to enjoy pushing the mods to the limits.
