It is apparent that it was foolish and naive for me to conclude that the CSR Forum Rules are applicable or would be enforced. What a joke!

If I’ve violated ANY of the forum rules, then that is news to me.

My understanding is that the forum rule violations are permitted and condoned against me because I have a bad “attitude” and because I’m “arrogant”. That’s the justification for abusive, slanderous, mocking and flaming posts against me. All violations of the rules.

Which of the Forum Elite aren’t arrogant?

If I’ve posted any personal attacks against anyone, that would also be news to me.

To me, the forum exists for exchanging information, which I’ve done.

When information I’ve posted has been incorrectly discounted as inaccurate, I’ve attacked the error, while others exclusively attack the person, ignoring the error. Each of my replies have comported w/ the rules.

Yes, I’ve made some speiling errors, but no technical errors, yet.

From my perspective, the problem has been the Forum Elite require massive ego stroking and butt kissing. That’s fine ifin that’s your thing, but it’s not mine.

My prediction is this chaos will continue to degenerate because those responsible refuse to enforce order. Hence, they’re as much or more of the problem than the immature prima donnas.

Arrogance could be added as a rule violation as a tool to curb me, but then that would just be one more rule ignored by the Forum Elite.

The rules have an infraction system that also doesn’t apply to the Forum Elite. Another joke!

Have fun attacking the messenger.

Just who are the Forum Elite. What type of boat do you have? Where do you boat? I did not see it in your signature section.

wingless, ignore them, I do. They eventually take over every thread...unsubscribe becomes your best friend at that point.

I appreciate your comments and contributions here.

I was just about to sign off, but I will have to stick around to see how this plays out.

In all seriousness, Wingless lighted up a bit. Hazing is part of this forum. It always has been. In fact, it was in the forums that pre-dated it.

Now, where is that old thread about stability from Cr0ck1?

I’m with you on this one….

But I thought the “hazing” was an exclusive of “J-Dock”

Give a man a can of paint, and he finds a mirror and paints a target.

Wingless, I can't argue your point in this thread, but I must admit, in the thread in question, you did seem awfully arrogant. You may be 100% correct all of the time (no, I don't think you claim to be), but until enough people here learn that about you, they will offer HELP which may take into consideration that you have made an error. I doing so, it may be offensive to you, but until you paint a target on yourself, no one here is out to get you - they are here to talk about boating, help people with their boat problems, have a little fun, and expand eachothers horizons through varies kinds of discourse.

In other words, don't take it personally. If you go back several months, you'll see that the forum elite were even on the outs for a while, but after stepping back and taking a deep breath, we're all back and talking boating - the way it should be. Winter is a tough time for a lot of these guys too, so that may have an impact on people's patience.

You're not being targeted. You're just being rubbed (STS). Take a step back, shake it off, and perhaps learn something from it all. Where else can you talk about boating with guys from Amsterdam, Australia, and even Kansas?

Bulldung!

No trust, no respect. What do you expect from people you wont even share basic information about yourself with. Where you live, what boat, etc.

Take a hike!

As to this...well it is not my call, but at one time, he did have the boat type listed.

Hint...look at my signature, and ask did you ever see this before in a thread?

Wing,

You have only been participating for a few months, so you may not have picked up on all of the subtleties here on CSR. It's not much different form other on line communities where participants sometimes post what they might not say to your face outside of cyberspace.

One thing you will notice is that many of us have opted to be fairly open about who we are and where we live/boat. We put this information in our signature lines and in our profiles. It's a quick as sure way to say that we are accountable for what we write on this forum. You have chosen to be more anonymous (which I believe should be against forum rules), but at least you seem to own a Sea Ray - which is a step in the right direction.

I took a few minutes to look back at your prior posts. My first comment is that you are posting too often. I am immediately wary of anyone who posts this much. Perhaps this has also caught the attention of those you feel are attacking you. No one should be posting just to inflate their post count.

Your posts seemed to be quite on target and focused until recently. You were taken to task for comments on engine room wiring on a gas boat and for giving advice on an incorrect multifunction display. Your inability to admit that you are wrong, or at least that other opinions are valid has contributed to your reputation as being a worthless hot air blower. (Nice photo Gary.)

Lighten up. Stop trying to prove you know more than everyone else. Read, learn and enjoy being part of a fun on line group. The only elite people here are those that pay so that others of us can participate.

There are 5433 members on CSR. My guess is less than 100 are active. Of those 100, I personally ignore most of the comments made by 4-5. If their name shows up in a post I am following or started, it's usually nonsense that I ignore or I unsubscribe, so I no longer have to see it in my email. Doing this removes the temptation to reply and it also prevents me from getting heated up about their comment. Sometimes I type out a reply and then delete it. Yeah, it does help. Yeah it strinks they they walked into the room and shake things up, but its their right and my right to chose how I react and respond to it.

So, if you do the math, at the end of the day there are no elites here.

Unfortuneatly for you, and for me a while back, this post is an inviation for them and in a strange kind of way your admission that they got to you. A few of the genuine replies to my post on this a while back opened my eyes. I resisted at first and even got angry at some of the replies, but the posts made a lot of sense and have helped me.

You seem like a passionate and intelligent person. I hope you hang around and can stay focused on boating, or whatever your post is, and ignore the 4-5 that will try to get to you for a laugh or a pat on the back by their CSR buddies.

Actually, one of the only people who was ever issued an infraction is one of the very people you say are elite. So stick around and listen for a while before letting us all know what you don't know. You can also go to phpbb.com and start your own forum for free and run it how you see fit as you have made it abundantly clear that me and the mods are more responsible for running this forum into the ground than helping it. Thanks for the pat on the back, I'll be sure to let Wes and Richard know they suck too.

Maybe you should go read the response to my post here:

http://clubsearay.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14612

and then cry how you are a "victim"... give me a break. And you wonder why someone posts a picture like this?:

dryer1.jpg

You are not too bright afterall... I had a guy like you that worked for me once. Smart guy but didn't "get it." He got fired.

As far as Greg's whining... all I can say is probably better to have 4-5 people ignored than 5432 people ignoring what you post. Isn't there some sort of "have a beer club" or something?

Well it sure took you long enough to enter the room.

Sorry to disappoint, or give you one less opportunity to call me a whiner again, but I was not whining, simply stating my opinion and how I handled a similar situation. I was trying to help the guy out as I know how he feels at times. I was also acknowledging those here that helped me out with their advice on the matter.

I thought you were the consummate guy who makes sure everyone is settled?

I think we need a poll... then we can get "everyone's opinion" and not just the "elite" like Turtle Butt's.

Thanks I needed that today, up until now everything has gone perfect for me today, good to keep my preception of reality in check

Greg,

Look at some of this guy’s previous post and count the number of smart ass remarks he has made in the past. This one falls under the “if you can’t take the heat …” category.:smt021

I mean come on “I’ll type slower” WTF

Wes, can you give Gary another infraction. He called me the "e" word with a small "e".
