Fast food craving.... Mine is White Castle.... 5 or 6 doubles, small fries and coke. 50 years ago I'd drive from Brighton to Ann Arbor to get them. I haven't had any since just moving up here. I'm going to have to track a place down now... They are great going down but I'm miserable for a while an hour or so later. Doesn't matter... In Florida it was Krystal. Not even sure if they are down there now.
Chick-fil-A is OK, but I never got all the fuss. It is adequate chicken. I like Popeye's much better. That said, now that I work from home I almost never eat fast food. Less than 10x per year. Closest I come with any regularity is Subway. Not a fast food fan unless it's dire. I do like a Hardees morning biscuit 1-2x a year. Jersey Mikes for a quick/good sub. GF loves Chick-Fil-A, it's ok, sometimes good.
I don't know how you guys fit into your summer bikini's with all this talk about big mac's, mashed potatoes and grease...
My excuse is the beer/bourbon
Publix... Yep, we got their wings about once a month. Never have tried In and Out. Never lived or traveled near them.Never had a bad burger at In-N-Out. Best fried chicken and subs are at Pubix. I do miss the fried chicken at Royal Farms.
Nothing like a good local Roast Beast sandwich! We have a local/regional chain of roast beef "fast" food. They have been around since the 60s, have their owns spice blend and cook the meat to medium rare. They slice it to order for each sandwich order. They cook their fries in canola oil which makes them "healtier". Think Arby's but 500 times better. Place is called Lion's Choice. I eat their once or twice a month. Just fantastic.
Taco Bell - 4 hard tacos, get home, nothing but lettuce on all 4. Had a ton of sauce packets so I smothered them in sauce and it wasnt bad, yes, drunk.I have been business traveling for 35 years. I’ve got a lot of restaurant stories. Here is a top 2.
I get into town after 6 hours of travel and it’s 8 PM. I go to a Panera. This location has the ordering kiosk. I order a turkey sandwich, chips, chicken soup and a soda. I get to the hotel and to my room about 9 PM. I take everything out of the bag and unwrap the sandwich. I take a bite out of the sandwich and just about spit it out. I spread the sourdough slices apart and the only thing there is mustard and red onions.
One would think that the sandwich maker would ask if this is what I really wanted to order. No. It’s 9:15-30 at night. I wasn’t going back to Panera. Glad I ordered the soup.
I love Publix. Wish we had them here....Publix... Yep, we got their wings about once a month. Never have tried In and Out. Never lived or traveled near them.
You have bad luck with fast food. I have never had FF where I didn't get the meat I ordered. My son's friend has your luck. We took a car load of "kids" to McD's on the way home from the lake. Everyone got what they ordered except my son's friend. He ordered a double cheeseburger and fries. Got his fries. The double cheeseburger was a bun, 2 pieces of cheese and pickles.Taco Bell - 4 hard tacos, get home, nothing but lettuce on all 4.
