I have just had my last fast food ever. EVER! E.V.E.R!
Tried the Popeyes Blackened chicken sandwich, Got home, plain breaded chicken.
Last week, 2 McD double cheeseburgers, got home had 2 single nasty cheeseburgers.
BK - I dont even remember, wasnt even close.
In all cases the receipt was correct, so it wasnt the order taker fault.
I am here to say I am officially done with all these places forever.
And these morons want $15 an hour?! I wouldnt pay these dickheads a $1 an hour.
How hard is to read the damn screen in front of their faces.
Nope, I am done, never again.
Will just go to the mom and pop delis and sub shops from now on.

Good choice PL.

I had to make a 50-mile road trip a couple of weeks ago. Stopped at the
Arches to get some breakfast. Two egg McMuffins. Ate one, very dry. The second one was no better so I ate about 1/3 and tossed the rest in the bag.

How hard is to read the damn screen in front of their face - you are assuming they can read!

We'll stop at the local Arches when heading out of town early in the morning on an all-day trip. I get the McGriddle because it's not near as dry and crumbly as the biscuit meals. Other than that, it's ma and pa eateries.

Yep, I’m a non FF guy as well. One exception Jack in the Crack regular Tacos, still 2 for a buck but no longer made with soybean fake meat. I don’t tell anyone, $10 and all the girls eat them like angry hyena’s.

At any fast food places I don't expect much quality. As far as for the help, they sure can do better at training them for what they expect to get paid. I think we should support our local deli's and eateries as an alternative. I find great food at pennies more. Even at dollars more its the thing to do.

Yup! We swore off the fast food a long time ago. If we are in a "hurry", we hit the taco trucks. Or we hit a local chain of Mexican Food. The only thing fast food is the Poppey's mashed tators with gravy. And that is it. Last time I ate at McKrackheads was just before they found the human DNA in the meat. And I have a buddy that does a milk run of their "milk shake" mix. Hazmat load with the main ingredient of potato starch.

My only weakness is KFC….once every three months or so I have to do it….. but my family screams no…..so I need to be running solo and buy enough to have it cold the next day….. only dark original….and a small coleslaw….. it doesn’t get better

Do you remember Royal Farms chicken when you lived here? Best chicken on earth.

Jersey Mikes is pretty good. Everything is freshly cut. Service has been good too. Very much reminds me of the sandwiches I had growing up in NJ. I think it's the oil and vinegar.
Yeah, until you run into Danny Devito ogling your sandwich. :)

Fast food craving.... Mine is White Castle.... 5 or 6 doubles, small fries and coke. 50 years ago I'd drive from Brighton to Ann Arbor to get them. I haven't had any since just moving up here. I'm going to have to track a place down now... They are great going down but I'm miserable for a while an hour or so later. Doesn't matter... In Florida it was Krystal. Not even sure if they are down there now.

I love White Castle, but my stomach does not. It has been at least 15 years since I had any. It tore me up for days the last time I had any. Just not worth it anymore. When I was young, nothing better than a bag full of White Castle at 3 AM.
Popeye's is my weakness, especially the mashed potatoes and gravy and the biscuits.

When I worked in Indy our plant was off a major exit off of 69….. every single fast food restaurant was there and every corporate chain restaurant. I’m sitting at the bar of a Texas road house about to have dinner and the food inspector walks in and the place starts running around….. after she was done she sat down beside me to fill out her paper work. I said to her did they pass I’m just about to order. She said yes we get talking and I asked of all these restaurants along here which one is the best from your perspective….. she said the White Castle… she said they far exceed all my inspection criteria.. she said it’s not just that one they are all like that they have independent inspectors come in to all of them all the time. I was a bit surprised….

I have been business traveling for 35 years. I’ve got a lot of restaurant stories. Here is a top 2.

I get into town after 6 hours of travel and it’s 8 PM. I go to a Panera. This location has the ordering kiosk. I order a turkey sandwich, chips, chicken soup and a soda. I get to the hotel and to my room about 9 PM. I take everything out of the bag and unwrap the sandwich. I take a bite out of the sandwich and just about spit it out. I spread the sourdough slices apart and the only thing there is mustard and red onions.

One would think that the sandwich maker would ask if this is what I really wanted to order. No. It’s 9:15-30 at night. I wasn’t going back to Panera. Glad I ordered the soup.
