The Official 450 Express Bridge Owners Club

Caught a glimpse of a 450EB entering Riverside Marina at Marco Island, from the yacht club, where we are docked. Grabbed the phone, snapped the distant pic, then hiked on over to it. They are from Houston, Tx, on trip to Key West and Dry Tortugas. They see our group posts, haven't joined per se, but say they will. I asked if they might snap a pic of their hull # and post it. It's a 2003 model, looks in great shape. I think he said bought it Sept. '21.View attachment 128069View attachment 128070

Not so far...

Like the more permanent nature of that starboard.

Agree it could be a toe catch coming back in from the bow, but I just step over the door most of the time. That may change going forward.

Welcome to CSR! I added your information to the front page. And here is the breakdown of your HIN and Sea Ray #:
SERP = Sea Ray built at the Palm Coast plant
5809 = is your serial number
A = built in January
3 = built in 2003
03 = built as a 2003 model
450EB-536 = is your internal Sea Ray number. You own the 36th 450EB off the line in the 2003 model year!

Turns out I was already a member. I took a picture of the hull to post. We are now in Naples and made it to the Dry Tortugas and Key west for a week. Just replaced zincs and fuel filter and ready for a new adventure.
Lusca, do you have the the two or three stateroom model?

Taking everyone back to post #16 in this thread, there was one piece of the puzzle that I did not finish up when we did the big lithium battery install and conversion, alternator protection. There wasn't really much out there at the time we did the install to protect the alternators. To avoid this risk while underway on a long trip, to maintain the charge I would run my generator to keep the lithium batteries topped off. The alternator was only used to keep my AGM starting battery charged. Wakespeed, a company out of Washington State has just come out with their WS500 that appears to solve my issue. Here is the unit and a link to their site.

And here is video of an install on a 43' Nordhavn
Just another project to get to. :)

Beautiful table! I want one. How much? Tired of the white fiberglass one came with boat. Is this new table narrow enough for the cockpit hatch to be elevated? For mine, I have to rotate it to the shorter side forward for the engine room hatch to clear it when raised.

On second thought, looks like the table is mounted on a base and not the deck fixture. So it's stand-alone and moveable that way. Am I seeing this right?
Correct you can move it where ever you want...

I had this guy make it for me..

I have just under a boat dollar into it!
I saw other custom made tables in the $2500 range....

Blamar has their external regulators that are also programmable and configurable to all Lithium profiles. Balmar also has a new product that can manage two alternators simultaneously which was a problem in balancing alternator output to a single battery bank. In the past for dual alternator single battery bank configurations you had to add a Balmar Centerfielder to make things work correctly. I'm not sure any of the external regulators can manage a BMS trip to save the alternator. Sterling makes a product called an APD that will protect the alternator in the event of a battery BMS trip.

As an edit the challenge ends up being how to modify the existing alternator to disable the alternator's internal regulator for use of an external regulator. Of course the appropriate path is to buy externally regulated alternators $$$$.

My thought with this Wakespeed unit is to run it through my port engine’s alternator to charge my lithium batteries and keep the starboard alternator for the starter battery. My good friend and engineer who did a majority of the battery installation is going to help out again and have the final say. For my current use of the boat I haven’t really had a problem isolating the lithium batteries and charging them on the hook with the generator. It would just be nice for the long 4-5 hour trips to keep them topped off.

Our table is no where near as fancy as Roosevelt14’s. I stayed with the fiberglass base and the stock adjustable post and had a new top built. I also had a Sunbrella cover made for it. It’s narrow enough to slide to the starboard side to open the engine room hatch.

My deck has a floor fixture for a post, pretty close to your image of the table, but several inches outside the hatch. Where the post attaches to the underside of my fiberglass table is offset from center. Table has to be spun around to make the short side forward to open the ER hatch. Having the table with a base, like yours and prev image, however, renders table more versatile to place it where desired. Could even pull it apart and stow down below for periods we are away, usually 4 weeks at a time. We live 10 hrs drive away, next trip will be our 26th, about once/month, usually staying onboard/traveling for week - 10 days. Last stay was two weeks. Always can't wait to go back!

Good morning and Happy Father’s Day! I broke a windshield frame snap clip closing up last night. Does anyone know what size they are 3/4 or 7/8th?

I have a pack of these I don't need. I think 7/8ths. Mine are "lift the dot" type snaps which I ordered and installed all of em broke or missing. Then I reordered but may have been me or shipper, sent the wrong pack. I can look up for you. To ship you my wrong pack, they do fit the windshield, can't be till back aboard to retrieve it week of July 17.
