Yes. Access is from the anchor locker. Yours should be on the stbd side and fairly accessible. The older 400DBs has the horn on the port side and it's very hard to get to. Mine didn't work at all. I removed it, took it apart, cleaned the thin plastic flappy thingies (technical term) which were very dirty, put it all back together and now it works great.
I think they call them "reeds". Also the little compressor is mounted in the space behind the TV in the master stateroom.

Yeah, you're probably right. The emergency pump (FWD) is the one that is directly aft of the vacu flushes, right?
That's the one. If you get water there it's usually from a fresh water plumbing connector leak, or shower sump overflow or vacuflush blowout (yuck - but has happened to some of us from bad bellows).

Thanks for all the advice on my stain... will let you know what (if anything) works...
Had a mechanic make mine disappear during a bottom job on my last boat. Told him that I tried everything. He smiled, and said no problem, we'll get it off easily. Finally got him to admit that they use battery acid. Sounded a little scary after the fact, but it worked. That boat even had painted on stripes in some places.

Thank you John!

Battery setup on 2001 400 DB...?

Starting to think about replacing my 4 year old batteries that came with the boat when I bought it. I looked at the wiring diagram for the boat and discovered that the 4 batteries are wired in series, 2 batteries per 'set'. One set is for the port engine and port house DC panel and one set is for the starboard engine and starboard house DC panel.

I was surprised that there are no dedicated house batteries and separate starting batteries. Is your setup the same on your 400DB? Do you have any issues with anchoring out and running the batteries down so low that you can't start the engines? I guess you can always start the generator to charge up the other batteries since we do have a dedicated generator battery.

Has anyone had any issues with this setup or changed it?

Yes it is.

No I don't. I anchor out all the time. Weekends, full weeks (sometimes), etc. I just fire up the generator a couple times a day for a couple hours to charge the batteries, cell phones, make hot water, make breakfast, and run the AC (if needed). I'm always surprised by how long the batteries last without being charged. I've never had an issue starting the engines after being on the hook for an extended period of time. All my lights are LED, so I guess that helps too.

Replaced the rollers under the sliding door today.

First, the p/n Patio Door Roller 9-238 and purchased through windowanddoorparts.us

https://windowanddoorparts.us/advan...n=1&osCsid=7e8ggh6nnbg77gjpt38fsils67&x=0&y=0

$7.30 each and are a perfect replacement.

Here is a video to show how to replace the rollers:

https://www.swisco.com/guides/view35

Door works beautiful now, and it appears the old rollers were original. Overall the job took less than an hour to do.
Step 1 complete. I got the rollers. Now to see if I can get the bottom frame rail off.

Yeh, same year, same setup. If you manage to discharge the batteries too far, to the point where the CO detectors "chirp", you can bridge all 4 batteries (both banks) with the emergency crossover switch to start the engines. This is the intermittent toggle switch at the helm, between the Port and Starboard engine switches.

Do you have 4 starting batteries? Mine are Crown MAR-1000X which are now discontinued. Crown recommended the replacement with their Crown 27SDC-XD which are their Marine Severe Duty Batteries.

Any thoughts or comments?

I believe I have a Group 31's....and they are a dual purpose starting / deep cycle. I'm due for new batteries, and tossing the idea of Optima battery (same config)

My front windshield leaked. I pulled off all the trim and recaulked around the glass. Bought 55' of new trim and fit it in and caulked the corners together with black sealant. Somewhere in this thread are pictures.

I just developed a small leak and need to reseal. Did you find the trim online or at the dealer?

Thanks!

The faucet in my guest head is leaking badly. Has anyone replaced this? If so, would you mind sharing what you replaced it with and if there's a plug and play easy swap out replacement for it?

Hello all, I've been learning from this thread for months now. The information provided here is priceless to a new owner like myself( thank you all....). I now find myself in need of some guidance....
My 99' has a vacuflush system which has the motors on top of the vacuum tank. The access from the guest stateroom bunk seems virtually impossible( even after removing the bunk entirely). I have watched Boogaboos videos but it appears that his pumps were on the same level as the tanks( not mounted on top ). Any hints on how to attack a duck valve swap would be greatly appreciated.
Mike

Bill, that's an awesome write up.... I should have known that you "have been there done that" . It looks so easy when you read the step by step. However, I know that it is not gonna be so easy. I'll take this time to thank you for this info and for all the other info that you generously post on this forum..
Thank you, Mike

Does anyone know where I can gt the glass platten for the microwave? Mine is missing. I have the plastic ring with wheels just no glass to put stuff on.

Roger. Sorry but I wrote the explanation wrong in the previous post. I just fixed it.

Can you post a picture of the problem? With it hinged all the way out you should be able to pull the vertical edge left as far as you need to in order to get it to mate with the fixed panel.
Hi Bill,

I looked at the shower door again and realized although it is hinged inward for storage, it needs to go hinge outward to close like you mentioned above. I was attempting to close it while the hinge was still inward. All is good now....

Thanks for the help.
