Why we PREACH SAFETY, This is VERY, VERY, VERY GRAPHIC

I can't believe those pictures made it to the internet. Rephrase; I cant believe they are attached to the detailed story. Imagine the guy's family. It would be bad enough everyone in town "hearing" what happened. I just cant get over the fact that someone, on the ground thought this was a good idea, and that others let it happen.

OMG... the poor family... My thoughts are with them.. how terrible.

Gosh, that is just awful, really awful......the poor family. My thoughts and prayers are with them. Recently a pretty young model walked into a Regional jet engine after she disembarked and turned the wrong way into it while the props were still turning (makes me shudder to even think of these things.) I think she lost an eye and one of her hands which was a terrible accident too, but thankfully she survived the ordeal and left hospital a few days ago. I expect her life will now be changed forever and her modeling career... ??? Safety precautions around air craft and all similar equipment is of the upmost importance.

Holy friggin sh!t!!!!!!! That is horrible. That person was pulverized. I just hope they died instantly and didn't suffer. What a terrible way to go. My thoughts and condolences to the family.

I don't think this post needs to be removed. It warns that it is very graphic. I'm sure alot of people passed just for that reason. I'm sorry you looked Searay40dad, it is disturbing to say the least.

First off, the accident was very tragic, (and happened almost 2 yrs. ago). The maintenance person was a contract person, not one from the airline. I can tell you that contract employees as he was, don't recieve near the training that the airline employees recieve. Also not stated in the article was that the engine was NOT at idle, as distances double that you "should" adhere to when performing engine maint. on a running engine. Any aircraft engine running above idle should not be approached by any ground personnel. That being said, to error is human, and this mistake proved fatal for the maint. individual.:smt009

wow that is way to graphic. It goes to show how important safety procedures and communication is.

Of course safety is important. I guess if it takes seeing a human beings remains pulverized to nothing to serve as a reminder, then so be it. Just seems a bit excessive and frankly, tasteless. So what's next, pics of charred bodies who've touched high voltage lines...mangled bodies of drivers who exceeded speed limits...
