I would have to say I would Not like it. Live chat is good for idle chit chat but since I've joined "The Club" it has been a weatlh of information for me. I think we would lose alot of the written knowledge for current and future references.
    Just my opinion....

I agree with your opinion AnchorsAweigh. Although our current "Private Messaging" does have some similarities to "Live Chat", I feel that a lot of valuable information would go unshared.

Agree...the written archive is where the value is. Honestly, I get my live interaction with my family and friends. I come here (and to other forums) to see what's new and learn....not socialize. I mean, I like all of you but I've never been one to "chat" online....I like my social stimulation in person.

Live chat would be cool for instant info if you are working on something. I recently needed some specs I knew folks had but had to go to another site to get it quick. I also agree about the wealth of information stored on this site. We would need to balance it if we had it. I don't want to lose what we are doing now.

It would seem that we do a lot of idle chit chat on the posts that "clutter up" the site but I think it only makes the site more colorful in personality. Way too many sites are fact's only sites.

No is my vote. I would not use, there are already enough here who wish to condemn and decry other posters for something they do not like.

Live chat would probably make me just want to do or say something inane, to some smart ass, smart mouth, retarded ass wipe. :smt013

I think live chat might clean up the boating threads and content stored on CSR.

Maybe the folks who post off subject comments and attempts to be funny would move the nonsense to the live chat area instead of corrupting the boating content on regular threads.

Personally, I can't see myself using live chat much if at all.

If you want to see what the interest is in live chat post a poll on the subject. I will be another NO vote.

I could see it handy in some circumstances... and on occasion it may have some entertainment value.
I'd vote yes but would understand if some folks chose not to use it.
