What's this? A 650 Fly possibly? A spotting of an elusive vessel!

As I was entering Huntington Bay sat am I see something elegant and sexy rushing in passing me on the stbd side good distance away. I look closer and told my wife that this must be Rusty on the 65FLY. I didn't have big camera handy so I zoomed to the max on the iPhone. Here's she gliding along leaving a nice wake behind.

As we got settled in the harbor the 65FLY was easy to spot. To make a long story short, we had a pleasure meeting Rusty and his crew (as well as few other CSR friends) aboard this stunning yacht.

All I can say that pix don't justify the true colors of this yacht. You really have to see it in person to appreciate what SR has created. There were a lot of WOW factors.

After taking the tour and learning the new features we had a pleasure to just chill and share some stories with Rusty.

All weekend long we keep meeting the 65FLY as Rusty kept making demo rides for potential clients.

They actually look very sharp and nicely blend with overall colors throuout the yacht. I'm not sure that either red or blue would look as good on her.
 
I agree. After dipping my toe in the red and blue craze, I went back to all white. Like them the best.
 
I saw the 650 and capt. Rusty on his way out of the harbor yesterday. I didn't know he was going to be there. Beautiful looking boat. Alex I think I passed your boat on my way out of the harbor yesterday morning I wanted to say hello but I don't think you were onboard.

Yes John, that was my boat. We must have been touring around the harbor on the dinghy.
 
After following this thread for awhile I have just two things to say....

#1, Very nice boat.

#2, I want Captain Rusty's job!
 
I only have a couple of comments.

Captain Rusty Sir.

1) the Sydney Boat Show is in 6 weeks, you had better get moving with it
2) have you got a cabin ready for me for the trip across?

Just read the entire thread. Man what a class act Rusty is. Hope we meet one day sir. You and Frank have helped so many folks here no matter what size boat we own. SR is the benefactor of a great brand rep and a good friend to all you meet.

Good morning Bean Town....I believe that is where I am at ?! At Russo Marine until tomorrow afternoon, then to a private residence for a day or two.

Guys, I truly appreciate all the nice thoughts you are sharing and even more so, wish you could all be with me on this baby. I have traversed the Long Island Sound and came up through the Cape Cod cut and arrived in Boston yesterday afternoon. I have stopped at places I never set foot on before but more important, I have shook hands with some of the best people one could imagine.

In Huntington, I was boarded by the cops, well okay it was just Joe (Havana Shamrock), Anthony, Larry and AlexF. What a pleasure to hang out with you guys for the day but as always, I will give credit where it is truly due. Joe, with Martha by your side I do believe you are the richest man alive, she had me so wanting not be single anymore and hence the reason I kept asking if she has any sisters. I am also grateful for the calm demeanor of Jelena simply because she makes Alex the man he is. Anthony is so lucky have begin a family with the lovely Sabrina, it makes me want to be yet another person to tell you guys to be safe out there on the streets, please! And Larry it was great meeting you and I do hope we end up on the same dock again, you never know.

Johnnyg44…dang I wish I had left the dock and hour later but my time at the Prime dock was up and they had me untied before the motors were warm, next time my man!

I have enjoyed good weather, a great ride and friends to no ends, but after a month and a half of being away from my Labrador, Babe, I am ready to head south. I have an engagement at Liberty Landing for the 4th and then return to Huntington LI around the 7th. After those stops I head south and will make stops along the way for fuel and nights. I hear tell that Atlantic City will be on the bow as I cruise down the coast and hope I can find other CR members at the dock. I also know that the return trip will be far better documented so it does not seem like I am being too vague in my travels.

Thanks again guys for making a factory delivery captain feel like I am one of you and please do come see me or even better, come see and be amazed at Sea Ray Boat's new Flagship, the 650FLY !

after a month and a half on the water, Rusty is running low on underwear. if you stop by the dock to say hi, if you can bring a package of tighty whiteys size 36", I'm sure he'd be grateful.

Just send them to Merritt Island…………once he finishes in NY after July 4 weekend, that 650 will really FLY as he heads home. They don't run at night, but the boat will only be still long enough to wait on daylight and take on fuel.

That will be a LOT of fuel....What is the range at cruising speed?

FYI, it is a little disturbing that you know his underwear style and size.
 
He was wearing Rusty's robe too - I agree, it is disturbing.
