What's the furthest distance you have traveled in your boat...

We have done six trips that don't cover a lot of miles (maybe 250 on ave.), however, we stay on the boat for at least 30 days each time. One of the six trips was for six weeks. It is a little tight on a 270/290, however, we have always had a good time. Since we have to trailer a significant distance (1100 mi. one way), we have kept to a smaller boat and been happy with it. Every one of the trips that we have done was worth the effort involved.

17 day boat vacation from Baltimore to North Carolina with multiple stops and then anchoring out.Lots of fun, wish I was doing it now.

So...can anyone beat 2000 miles for distance or 30 days for duration?

We go north from Ladysmith (Nanaimo Vancouver Island) for 2 to 3 months a year. Futhest was southern Alaska about 1200 knots total return. Lots of rain some times and you can get wind bound for a few days when you are waiting to cross open areas. Drive at 6 knots most of the time and anchor out 90% of the time as there are few marinas. No problem with fuel or food. Nice to be able to go fast when the weather is closing in.

Ky to Panama City ~750 miles; 2 Chattanooga trips ~500 miles one way; 3 Nashville trips ~200 miles one way; 2 trips to Pickwick Lake (AL, TN, Miss) ~200 miles one way; and a buttload of shorter jaunts in all directions. Nashville again this summer then to Panama City to Ft. Myers in October for the winter. No major problems, knock on wood. Lost the charging circuit on the gen on one Nashville trip; had to replace an impeller on one a main and rewire a gen fuel pump on one of the Chattanooga trips. the diciest was not seeing a John boat fishing along the banks in AL while tripping to the gulf. Waked him hard, thought we'd be shot at for sure. We passed every confederate flagged home very carefully from that point on. 'Deliverance' still gives me nightmares.

Miami Beach to Deltaville, VA. Bought the boat in July 07 and spent the winter in Fl to learn the boat and make sure we boat were ready for the trip North. Left last weekend of March 08, spent the first three days on the outside and then had to move into the ICW becasue of weather & seas. Only made 31 miles one day as 19 mile up the ICW and we came up behind the Hampton Road dredge with 2 small tugs and 500-600' of hose trailer her headed North. Followed her for 5 hours before we finally got around her and they hollared and screamed like a bunch of babies becasue I passed them. Thought we had it made then only to find another 3 miles further up 2 more tugs with support barges and more hose. since they were underway continously we had to get far enough ahead of them before we stopped for the night that we knew we'd still be ahead of them the next morning when we got underway. Trevel around 1350 miles over 6 travel days.

Only problem was corn stuck in the duckbills on the forward head

Sounds like the "corn polisher" was busy..... hahahaha

Corn Polisher is a joke in our family.
Q: How can you chew and digest something and have it come out in whole kernels?
A: There must be a "corn polisher" in your guts that puts it all back together and makes it look shiney and new.
