    I like:

    The new layout.
The the very complete site navigation options.
    The quick links.
    Calendar.
    Buddy list.

    I don't like:

    The ignore option.
No pictures from old virtual marina (at this moment?).

As with any change it takes a while to get use to it. The new features are nice. As time goes on I think this will be much better due to the features that are available. From what I have seen so far thumbs up to Jim for the time and effort that he has put into us having a place to join and talk!!!

The new site looks great and hats off to Jim for all his efforts!

One feature that I really liked on the previous site was the link to posts in the last 24hrs, 48hrs, 72hrs. This made it easy to catch up when I was offline for a day or two.

The "Todays Posts" link under Quick Links helps. But the ability to go back two or three days is nice.

I have been enjoying this site as well as the old ones. So I thought I would check out what some of the other major vendors users have on line. Wow, what a difference. I always thought it took a lot of work and now I know. The Rinker site was hacked with junk and the bayliner site was poorly defined and confusing. Really enjoy the new posts, the pictures, mods and technical areas.

I very much wish we had the previous software back. I think I am a minority of one. But at least I could make it work. I have just given up with a several messages here, I can't see how to make this board do what I want. Yes, part of it is that I am having trouble with my eyes.

I do appreciate all the effort that Jim is expending in putting together a site that works and suits the majority of us. Thanks, Jim!

My only issue is telling the difference between threads with new posts and those that don't. I don't yet get the magic wand thing and 1 envelope vs multiple envelopes. I do like the pics at the top though. I never ventured into the old marina much so it's really nice to see revolving pics each day.

I like the layout and features, although I frequently viewed posts from the last 24, 48, or 72 hours, and it looks like that option is gone. Oh well..

The 24, 48, and 72 hour links were what I used most to see what was currently happening on the board. Maybe they could be re-created?

    Dave M,

You have two options, at the top you can click new post (which will post topics since your last visit) or you can go to quick links drop down and today's post. Hope that helps

I just feel fortunate that every one who is involved in this board puts so much time and effort into a place where we all can learn and enjoy. I appreciate everything you all do to make this the best site around.

Thanks, I was missing that one. I thought I saw that once, then forgot how to find it again.

24/48/72 feature added. It is under the "new posts" link up top.

I would like to see the panel that always occupies about 25% of the left side of the screen be less intrusive. It causes the threads to squeeze into a smaller horizontal area which results in much less thread content on the screen.

It would be nice if it were either:

    1. optional so that I could click it on/off (maybe this already exists?)

    OR

    2. eliminate it when you open a thread.

JMHO and certainly not a big deal.

We have a whole new site skin coming soon that will have an entirely different look, so we can revisit this then. The current "look" is just temporary, the members voted to go with the temporary look so we could immediately move to the new software.

Jim, that is great to hear! Now I will quit fretting about those icons I can't read, and wait for the new skin. I'm really happy that you leaked out this info. :)
