What does everyone do for a living?

Owner, Electrical contracting business, been in the trade for 40 yrs. Still enjoying it.

Retired a year ago; 30+ years with one of the largest and I’ll say the best aerospace companies. Most of my career was in the development of manned and un-manned space launch capabilities. Almost my entire career in government programs; some we can talk about some not. Spent eight years on the Space Shuttle program with five of those a part of the launch team in the firing rooms. I would not have traded for anything; saw and did things not many can imagine. Now I’m the President/CEO of a technical consulting firm representing a variety of aerospace companies in the development and implementation of space access capabilities; so yes, I failed retirement 101 and now working harder than ever but they came knocking…. Life’s good.

Lighting and Set Designer for Concert Tours, TV, and Special Events.

I've had the privilege of seeing a show that Mike did the set and lighting for and I will say that his description of himself and what he does is quite humble. His talents and the shows he designs are phenomenal to say the least.... I guarantee that many others on CSR have seen his work too without even knowing it. The show that I saw was the most memorable my wife and I have ever seen.

Wow. Everybody's jobs sound so cool...There are more pilots than I thought there would be (flying vs gliding on the water, I get it though), and fewer Doctors and Lawyers. Interesting.
I spent my early years as a Mechanic/gopher, did 4 in the USAF, and 30+ years in the electronics industry.
USAF taught and trained (Comm Nav and ECM on F-16's), now I'm an Engineer with no degree. Self-taught.
Designed and tested Cockpit Comm (Apache, Comanche, F-16, F-18, F-15, AV8B)(ever hear of "Bitchin Betty"?) to Telecom.
Did hardware design for telecom and now I try to write the software for those systems.
If you have the Internet or a Smartphone, chances are I had something to do with how the data or voice gets there.

Retired for thirteen years before spending thirty seven years in education---Career Technical Education.

Sorry, that made me laugh out loud!
