What about those of us who tow to the water? Lets see your tow rigs.

The truck is a 2006 Silverado 2500HD with the Duramax LLY and 6 speed Allison transmission, fully loaded but stone stock.
The trailer is a 5th wheel unit custom made for Someday Lady II with an SL-16 Hijacker hitch.
Boat will be for sale in the Spring once the 350 arrives and will be available with the trailer.

Well I don't have any pics of them hooked together, but here's a few of the two babies...

My 2003 4x4 V10 with 9,000lbs of Sea Ray and trailer. Tows very nice with 16" tires and 6,000lb axles and the 23' (first pic) 4,000lbs now looks small. The 270 trailer is almost 35' long since the boat with pulpit is 31'! Steel trailers are heavy but don't float and only need two axles vs. three. Load range E tires and good axles are the ticket. The 270 trailer weights 2200 and the 23 trailer 1100lbs. They are very solid and don't flex but I'm in fresh water. I really like the Excursion since it's a 3/4 ton but is considered a station wagon in PA....only $35 registration a year! A pickup is triple that! I use cargo trailers for hauling the pickup stuff. Can't give up the CV-23, small block, 55mph boat yet, Mike.

Well technically, I tow to the water... I just can't get any closer than this. U-Haul gets all pissy with me if I back their trailer down a launch ramp, and the cart just sinks anyway.

This is not mine but I thought it was interesting. Some people will do anything to save gas.

Well actually, that's how the Ford Power Stroke spends most of it's towing career:huh::smt043

Wow I would think that would be illegal in some states. Then again it is really no different that an RV pulling a vehicle is it.
Like this. This is what I make a living working on:grin:

WOW. I have a CDL, havent driven or used it in years. I do how ever work in the transportation business and know a few things about Tractors and trailers. So I love to see all the different rigs out there. This one is awesome. Just glad I am not the driver, right?

This one is very easy to drive and rides extremely smooth. The trailer is a "stacker". It has a hydraulic lift inside. It actually tracks almost in the tracks as the bus when turning.
