Uuuuuuuum..............Oil is now at $133 a barrel

Dave why are you doing this to yourself, It's going to 200.00 a barrel and we'll all have to just install large Masts on our cruisers, think of what the sail boaters are thinking right about Now.?

Boating this weekend in Elk Rapids Michigan, we were 1 of two baots that went out for a cruise, though it was cold, only Us and Salty Dog went out for a daily cruise, this is Highly irregular an with Gas and Fuel prices as they are and not expected to come down anytime soon.... I see it getting worse with knowone leaving their slips, but spending Days and Nights in their floating hotels.. Again America is going to be strangled by its own addiction to Fossil Fuels....
I wonder what it is going to be like this summer, stangely enough most marinas still have waiting list for slips...

I've also noted at the marina here in Hampton there is no more "dock premium" on fuel price compared to the local corner gas station. Diesel is a lot cheaper but that's because it's red dyed and has no road tax on it.

I filled up the Audi TT yesterday and as I was putting the nozzle into the fill tube the loud speaker came on and the voice said. "Stop. We are just getting ready to change the prices." I looked at the price for premium and it said $4.20. Three minutes later she said, "OK." They dropped the price to $4.199. $55.00 later we were motoring on down the highway.

Gary I'm with you, Elk Rapids marina ws actually embarrased to raise their price of gas and fuel... riday when I started up there , figured I'd fill at the marina at 3.89, Well didn't get there on time, and Saurday gas went to 4.48 a gallon.... WOW what an increase, but still didin't keep us from going a cruise... we waited all winter for a cruise..

So, nobody buying fuel at the gas docks, nobody out boating, right? Supply and demand. Lots of supply, no demand. Prices going up, still. I hope the crash comes in time for my trip to Nantucket.

We went to Friday Harbor in San Juan Island (WA State) and it is normally packed every Memorial day the past several years. The place was 3/4 full all weekend and its never that bad. The shops in town were complaining, the restaurants were barely populated. Saw the ferry unload 15 motorcycles and a truck on the morning run which is normally full with about 80 cars.

Oil's on the slide. Are they running for the doors yet? Keep watching.

One day does not make a trend. But here's hoping that the commodities speculators get what they deserve.

Best regards,
Frank

Besides, I want to fill Just Ducky's tanks and if the price drops in June, I'll have actually predicted it right. Don't tell my wife, she doesn't ever think I'm right.

Slide baby slide! Poppa needs a tank of gas

Just saw a blurb on CNBC about the amount of dough a trader has to have
in an account to cover a futures contract just tripled.
They say it could cut out a lot of the speculation on oil and gas.
Let the market work it's magic. keep the govt busy keeping our shores safe.
Marathon Oil hass a huge gasoline refinery due to come online in the Fall '08.
And a couple of Gulf of Mexico deep, real deep, oil rigs are ready to start backup
after Katrina shut them down. Couple 200,000 - 300,000 bbls a day rigs. Should
keep the Marathon refinery busy.
I really want to believe there is 39ft Sea Ray in my future. My current 240WE is my
"training wheels". Maybe next year when the price of oil drops? Maybe this year there will be some bargain Sea Rays.
