I’ll be working on my new to me 340 in April and checking in here. Seems a lot of experience here to learn from. Sold the little boat after a couple seasons and this will be a great upgrade.

I had the same issue and even had it come off without knowing, so I had to have the boat pulled to make a temporary repair. I had a survey done as well that showed no issues what so ever. I will be placing a new one on this winter. From what Im told these are designed to come off in the event you hit something submerged, the bolts will shear so you do destroy the hull as they are glassed in.Hey everyone,
It's my first season with my new (to me) 2001 Sundancer 340. Halfway through the season, I noticed a little water appearing in the bildge. I monitored it and it never seemed a big issue but I would look at it in the next month after it was out of the water.
The boat comes out of the water and I see this (see attached photo). I'm mad that the seller may have tried to get one by me by caulking the exhaust when he noticed it leaking.
Regardless, I'm stuck with making it right but I have no clue as to what this will cost or take for me to fix. Anyone have a clue on this one?
Cheers all, and thanks in advance for any advice.
