Trying to find some info on Seaside park marina. Anybody have any info or ideas about this place? Are there any marinas close to walking distance of seaside park?
Thanks all.

Just to add we are looking for destination marina that has Bathroom/Shower facilities and gas. Pool would be nice and close to the beach to be able to walk too. Or somewhere we can anchor out and paddle our dighy to shore to play alittle. Looks specifically in Barnegat bay near Seaside or Point Pleasant. I know about Silver bay but trying to get somebody with local knowledge.
Thanks all.
Michael,
The trip out to Jones beach wasn't bad. And just for your FYI the 240 handled it awesome. Even the Jones Inlet wasn't to bad. Just stayed calm and used common sense. I can say alot of ppl on Sunday leaving the show didn't use much common sense. Especialy under bridges. Don't know what gives about that.
Thank you so much for that info. At Point Pleasant The Shrimp Box and The Wharfside sound like a perfect place as we wanted to try to get to the boardwalk for the kids to play. Assuming they have fixed docks hence the warning about the tidal change. Good to know. They won't get pissed about leaving the boats at the dock to go to the boardwalk after having some food and drinks? Do you know of a close Marina with Facilities near these 2 places?
We are planning on coming down July 4th and staying till the 6th. So we are trying to get some transient slip for 2 nights now before they are all taken.
I was looking at Dillions Creek and the Light House Point Marina in Toms River as they seem to have nice Facilities. But that is a trek from Shrimp Box and Wharfside.
Have to do some more research.
Thanks,
Alvin
Was thinking about Tices Shoal also, but I heard that place is a zoo and with the kids on board might not make to much sense. Thanks again for the local knowledge sharing there. It helps alot. Will let you know what we plan on doing and if you are around maybe we can meet up. I'll post some pics of the Air Show later today. I'll be picking your brain more later about this trip.
YEah our priority is either to get to a boardwalk or the beach where the kids can play. Treasure Island and POint pleasant are sounding better but we need to find a marina. We might stick to LIght House Point if they have availability.
We have an inflatable that can accomodate all 4 of us. Can be tied down to the bow as needed.
I'm still trying to figure out how you're going to get from a marina 4 miles up Toms River or a marina 3 miles up the Metedeconk to a beach without a car. Maybe you can rent a car (enterprise will probably pick you up at the marina). There was another thread started recently by a guy looking for a marina walking distance to a beach up near Pt. Pleasant.
I've seen a few empty slips at our marina this year so I'm not sure if they would rent them as transients for those days. Our marina has a pool (open 10-5pm) and a small bathroom with two showers in it. If you plan to stick to up north with pt pleasant and treasure island, you may want to look into it. Here is the link:

I'm not sure of which Marinas have pools to help out but I know ours does and there is at least one in the Manasquan River that in know of, don't know the name though.
Alvin, My wife and I are friends with the daughter of the guy who runs the Seaside Park marina, and I will check this weekend with her on the specifics... I believe it is owned by the town...
Ocean Beach Marina is on the barrier island and you can walk to the beach from there. I don't know if they have transient spaces, but here is their website: http://www.oceanbeachmarina.com/
I would recommend that you consider staying in the river at Shore Point Marina, Lighthouse point or Dillan's creek. There will be fireworks on river and that would be fun. Shore Point's website is: http://www.shorepointmarina.com/ Ask for Ken...
We spent Sat and Sun on river and it was great. Monday we anchored in Governor's Cut north of Tices. It was not crowed and water is deep enough to dive off the boat. Tice's Shoal is a great place to go, and access to the beach is great. If you go during the week you won't have to worry about any crazy people...
