FYI ... Chesapeake Bay - Kent Narrows 24 th annual power boat races Jun 21-22. Races start at 1200 each day with various classes racing throughout the afternoon. Races will take place in Prospect Bay, South of Kent Narrows. Beautiful WX forecasted... see you there !!!! Tim

Is there a good place to anchor out there and see the races? I've passed through there many times on the way to St. Michaels, Wye, Choptank, etc. and it always looked like very skinny water outside of the channel with no good spots to drop hook. Any local tips?

Sorry for the late reply, I have just returned from 4-5 days cruising the Bay.
For future reference , after heading South thru the Narrows Bridge, you make a rt ~ 300* turn after passing Green " 3 " and before Green " 1K " and head up toward Hog Island. [ That ] turn is not marked, so you will have to make a WAG and pay close attention to the charts. Tim

Makes me realize how fast time goes by. I was at the first annual race and it seems like a few years ago. I stopped in last weekend for a bit.
