Hi all. Newbie boater here needing help. I have a 99 SeaRay with a 125HP Mercury outboard. I’m having issues with the throttle only button on my Quicksilver 3000 throttle control unit.
I depressed the button and gave it throttle to start the boat like I usually do. Only this time the button didn’t pop back out. When I wiggle the button out to its “popped out” position there is zero resistance behind the button. I removed the button and see there is the brass nut I may have to remove. however what is behind the brass fitting?? When I took a long flathead to where the button inserts i felt something that seems like it should be popping out to hook onto the prongs of the button. Any idea what that piece is called because I feel like that’s my issue. It may not be popping out like it should?? Any advice how to fix?
