Very "HGTV!"

No, we got that from Guns & Gardens! :thumbsup:
Funny name, but, it is actually a pretty good magazine.
Thanks for the compliment.

It's not so much the throw itself - more so how it's "thrown!" Superb.

Great, I'll tell my wife that you like "how" she threw it. I'm sure she'll be thrilled.

:huh:If the 300 Sun dancer is a DA Model and a Sedan Bridge is a SB what is the model designation for a Weekender??????

WE = Weekender
SE = Special Edition

Here is a WE

Since your boat is a post 1980 model, that designation came from the SR AS Group. That is the SeaRay Alphabet Soup Group. It's true! :thumbsup:

Not sure why but Sedan Bridges are not SB, they are DB.

Makes sense to me!

DB makes as much sense for Sedan Bridge as DA does for Sundancer. Actually, DB means Dancer Bridge. Just as DA meant Dancer. Both names sucked for marketing purposes, so, the DB was subsequently called the Sedan Bridge and the Dancer was subsequently called the Sundancer.
End of story, you owe me a beer.

I think you're making the whole thing up. For that you get a root beer.

AC = Aft cabin

It came from a very reliable source. You now owe me a volka and tonic! I wouldn't make up something this important. I mean, we are talking boat here!

WOT RPM's On My Boat

OK Guys. What are you guys seeing for WOT Rpm's on your 300 Weekenders? Are most of you cruising at about 23 MPH and 3200 RPM's?

She is swinging 17X16 screws. I know they say 4600 rpm's at WOT but I was just wondering if anyone with 1000 hour engines was seeing that.

Mine will come up there after she gets going but I was just looking for input from others and to check cruise speeds vs RPM's.

John
Not sure you'll see any differnt WOT based on engine hours. If the engines are loaded and tuned properly, you should get what the book says.

Thanks Ron
I figured as much but I had heard a couple guys talking at the Marina this weekend and one of them has an 86 weekender and he is set up like mine and he was saying he was struggling to hit the 4600 mark with his and he said he was running more like 4400. He does have a bunch of extra weight on his boat that i do not have but he said it started dropping slightly on him over the last 2 years to the point where he is down to about 4400 now.

I was not sure if it might be attributed to engine wear (he said he was tuned up this spring) as he has about 1200 hours on his engines. I know a compression test will tell the story and told him that but I guess I am looking to hear if anybody with this type of hours is seeing the same types of issues as well as to figure out if the 350's run much past 1000 hours in their lifecycles or if that is pretty much the end of their lifecycle.

I know a lot depends on how they were cared for during that 1000-1200 hours but just looking to see what others were experienceing and to see if I have the same thing to look forward too. Right now I can turn the 4600 without too much of an issue as the boat pushes forward.
