Here's a challenge, not addressed as yet since acquisition 3 yrs ago. Situation inherited from prev owner. Bow pulpit flush mounted anchor fixture is bent. Secondly, anchor jams and impacts the forward-most part of the opening. Anchor actually got stuck on very first use 3 yrs ago. I made a small bumper stop from aluminum tubing and two chair feet on the ends to place on the anchor for the last two inches of retracting it. This eliminated it getting stuck. Apparently prev owner bought a large Mantis anchor, but the pulpit opening is not sized to fit the arm of the anchor. Might a 65lb at least. One solution might be to move the entire fixture aft by a few inches. Another might be to install a SS plate at the point of impact under the pulpit. Thoughts?
