The Official 450 Express Bridge Owners Club

In my quest to add more 450s to the unofficial registry, I sent an email to the broker listing this boat in Croatia. I was pleasantly surprised that Mr. Dragan Jolic responded and provided me with the HIN along with a picture. I think we have 105 boats now on the list.
Here is "That S It", a 2000 year model with HIN # SERP4747A000, the 40th boat off the line that year.

I was thinking a flat fender next time.

I have flat fenders on the boat, they don't pop out and imagine they would provide enough protection to keep the ER vents intact.
I discussed this issue directly with the travel lift operator and he kindly spread the blocks at the top of the lift out so the straps were about 1/2" from the vents. Didn't even touch them. I had flat fenders on standby as well.

When whoever replaced the OEM windlass didn't seal the new holes they cut :(.

Scraped out all the rot, going to cut replacement wood, and then inject penetrating epoxy throughout. With a little luck will be fun ready by the weekend. We did get out Saturday and Sunday last weekend though.

Feeling really lame being MIA on catching up here being so busy. Need to find my haul out pics relative to my vents as I believe the straps were just forward of their forward edge. Few weeks ago, 10 boat cruise group trip to Sarasota & St. Pete was delightful. ICW up, offshore return. Prior trip was a Club Fleet Review parading for the new Commodore. Boat running so good, knock on wood and all new Strataglass & Stamoid, post Ian storm. Ok, so it was $27k, $12k from weeks of haggling insurance.

Going back to post #92 in this thread, I shared this picture of a screen shot of a haul out. The YouTube video that I grabbed it from (post #86) is now gone, but the video showed the vent being pulled from the hull by the the sling. In this still shot, I think you can see the separation at the bottom of the vent.

Found my haul out pics, June '21 for bottom job, raised water line, new boot strap, replaced main sea cocks, removed/resealed rudder flanges, replaced all swim pkatform hydraulic lhoses. Note missing vent insert cover, both sides, where later had a SS part fabricated. Resealed the cover to the hull on install. Note the fairing block on hull bottom amidship, forward of the shaft, for a forward sensing sonar unit. Haul straps needed to be forward of it and I had installed a "Sling" decal that the operator still wanted to go forward of. Next haul out, will take heed on using a spacer of some sort so strap doesn't impinge on the vents.

I sure hate to see this. I think it happens to all of us where a prior owner or shop takes a short cut that is just plain lazy.:mad::mad:

Yup, surveys only find so much.

Wait 'till you see the rebuild. Put roughly 4' of various size pieces of wood in a 1' x 1' area. Will be injecting epoxy tonight and then fairing tomorrow. I'll take pics as I go. I have a contraption rigged up for the injection setup.

Well, it was all going well until I sprung a leak and most of the epoxy came right back out . I had prepared for that and it drained into a plastic bag and I got the bag into a bucket before the epoxy kicked.

Gonna try again tomorrow if there is still space to push epoxy into, which I am pretty sure there is. Of course, have to make a quick trip to West Marine for more epoxy. This time I am screwing a piece of starboard to the bottom of the holes and sealing that with duct tape..

This is exactly the type of defect that concerns me for my, now, 21 yr old model. I do have something I can share with pix in another week or so re. my anchor pulpit, bent SS opening, and busted fiberglass underneath where oversized Mantis anchor was installed by prev owner.

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is off to a great boating season!! Just back in the water and moored at our summer slip! Did come across an issue with electrical. I have a 2003 (2 stateroom). The STBD side electrical outlets are not providing power. I have checked and reset all the breakers and no noticeable issues in the panels. I was using the plug in bridge STBD side of captains chair below aft facing bench seat when cord to buffer dipped into water prior to power loss. None of the plugs are GFCI in the line of powerless plugs. Schematics are to small to read and trace out. Need stronger glasses!!

Is there a fuse or something else I'm missing?? Thanks, Dan

Our GFCI outlet is buried in a cabinet under the galley. You may want to pop open the cabinets and see if Sea Ray gave you this same gift.

Now I know where the GFCI is under the sink!!! I'm digging through all the lockers and storage now. Wonder what surprises I will find?!?!?!

Found it because my wife's google skills are better! Our STBD GFCI is located in medicine cabinet of the 2nd head.

My 2003 has 3 GFCI (Cockpit aft port locker, Under Galley sink, and 2nd head medicine cabinet).

Thanks for the help @Forrestkk

Ha! And now I too know where the third one is. Just looked.

Thx to your wife!
Funny I only knew about the cockpit locker and the master bathroom cabinet. I’ll have to check under the galley sink!

We spent the weekend at the slip. The Admiral was visiting our daughter (9 months pregnant with the first grandchild :)) who lives close to the marina while I tinkered on the boat. We found a small water leak in one of the pex fittings under the master bathroom sink. I haven’t tackled it yet, but I think I have the part in my stash from the last repair of the shower and hot water heater from a couple of years ago.
