I'm glad I bought a 320 when I did. There are fewer boats every year that I can say I REALLY like.
Maybe I'm just getting old.

Yes it is. It appears to me there are some things that are nice - but the new mid size Sea Ray's are a little to Focus Group Designed.

Yeah...Why let the past and current owners say what they like or don't like about a boat. How dare them.Alex D said:skolbe said:Alex -

I agree Scott ... every new Sea Ray dancer in the sub-340 sizes is to me a huge step back in what I use the boat for ... BOATING ... too much fancy shmanzy and less utility ... a trend that started with the new 340 ... :smt009

The forward berth is stationary but the back part of it is mechanically actuated and goes up so you can watch TV or read better.
My inlaws just came back from the NY boat show... they couldnt get over what POS the 29 was ..... so now just to piss me off there looking at a monteray.....

That's just, not nice. For $140,000, what were they expecting in a 31' boat (Let's face it, they never sell for MSRP)? I got mine new for a fair amount less than that and I'm pretty impressed in the quality and value. I'm proud of that boat and my ability to own it. There are a lot of boats of lesser cost, scale and quality than the 290DA, but I would never call an owner's boat a POS. If it floats, moves you from point A to B under power, and gets you safely back to point A, then you have my respect. My inlaws just came back from the NY boat show... they couldnt get over what POS the 29 was ..... so now just to piss me off there looking at a monteray.....
