The new 330 Sundancer is here!

My dealer received his first 330DA early last week, it is currently in prep and I will see it on Thursday and take lots of photos. It has every option except satellite television and for power she has the 8.1 Horizon twins with inboards and 4 blade propellers. The 320 is no longer in production and it has officially been replaced. Can’t wait to see her and I’ll take lots of photos.

Can't wait for some pics.

I got called to SFO on business, had to cancel my Thursday meeting. Will call Oakland MM and ask if they have one, and I have my camera.

Unfortunately the one at MMO did not show up on July 7th as promised so I still can’t show you the pictures. I can tell you the price for their 330DA with 8.1TVD’s, black hull, C-80/radar, premium cockpit sound, 2 flat screens with DVD’s, generator, macerator, cockpit frig, spot light, sun pad, underwater lighting, bottom paint, gel coat dash, central vac, flag pole, 4 rod holders, mechanically actuated forward berth/sofa and soft top: $316 retail, $283 Value Priced.

that's priced more like a replacement for the 340 rather then the 320!! That's quite a price jump!!

They would have to sell that boat at 40% off retail for it to be what typical 07 320's sold for.

I don't know for sure what Marine Max's value pricing really means or how they arrive at it, but I do know when I was shopping for a 320 that was a similarly loaded boat with 8.1's, B3 outdrives, every option including premium sound in the cabin it was value priced at $219K and they said I could buy it for $199K. Now I was able to get a better deal on my 320 but it is a less optioned boat too. I will find out this weekend what my dealer is selling his for and take some photos.

Just was on one! Very dissapointing.I'm not a big guy but my hips were touching the helm seat and portside seat on my way into the cabin. For a 330 its very small in the cabin.although the head was very spacious. The windshield is a walk thru design however the opening was only about 10 inches wide. The aft berth was difficult to get into as a good part of the companion way stairs are in the way.2 people cannot pass each other in the cabin its that congested. The boat I was on was a blue hull which had a lot of inperfections in it.The cockpit was finished in white and what I would call a buckskin color, not to my liking. It does have hull windows ,rear fireing speakers on the transom and a "rumble seat".My 97 330 is alot more spacious. Just my 2 cents..Tom

The rumble seat on the 310 cut drastically into the available space in the cockpit. I suppose the 330 is the same?

It did make for a nice big swim platform though.

Go back and take some pictures...PLEASE

Are there sidedecks? Pics please! Sounds like the 340 will be the value boat next year.

Just got off the boat myself and I love it! Yes it is different, but my wife and I just spent over an hour and we both walked away impressed. I took 52 photos but need to get them moved onto my laptop and edited down before I can post.

As far as the 340 goes, it will be here for 2008 and rumor has it replaced for 2009. If you want a new 320, better find one fast because they are out of production.

The boat at the dealer has the twin 8.1S Horizon DTS TVD's which lists for $240,342. With the options of blue hull, autumn and prairie tan interior, gel coated dash, cockpit frig, fitted sheets, macerator, actuated forward berth, 5kw generator, Raymarine radar, GPS, plotter, bowthruster, swim platform lighting, grow boating, freight for a total retail of $281,268. My guess is actual price will be 24% off that with some manufacturer help for an out the door price of ~$210,000.

What did I not like about this boat?

Less cockpit storage, colored hull (kind of a gray blue, sort of dull), tight walk through between helm seats, tighter cabin in terms of floor space but better in other ways and that really is about it.

What did I like?

cabin storage, massive storage
walk through windshield and electric sliding windshield
flat foredeck
covered windlass
port lights on the side and top
hard top / soft top
dash and electronic controls
port side swivel forward seat
jump seat
corian counter tops up and down, everywhere
large stainless galley sink
exceptional bathroom, size, quality, fit, finish, elegance
larger sofa
power actuated forward berth
LED cabin lights
hidden cockpit and cabin speakers
larger more beautiful LCD television
transom speakers
glass and chrome transom door
overall shape, cut, look and stature
angled fuel, water and sewage placements
cockpit galley area (very nicely done!)
overall elevated quality of materials, controls, finish items
way larger midberth, I could actually sleep there laying straight out
light colored cabinet interiors
HVAC vent placements (much better than 320)
Ultraleather versus whatever they used in the 320, very elegant and supple
way bigger and better cabin frig/freezer and the companion ice maker drawer (huge improvement, and was on my wish list)

Bottom Line: This boat is a big improvement on so many levels it negates the few where the 320 shines. If you did not like the 310, you won't like the 330. But let it be known, this is no 290 which was a huge disappointment to me compared to the 280. This boat is greatly better than the 320 personally speaking and with those engines and power, wow, I can't imagine.
