The future of EVs? Maybe not so bad?

Well then please, I mean this, explain your position to me. I'm willing to listen to reason and facts.
I have already explained my position before and any deviation from the foxnews party line has me being accused of being a kool-aid drinker.

But briefly, we need diversity in our transportation model AND energy models. We shouldn’t be beholden to one industry and allow it (or presidential policy on that industry) to have control of our economy. Even if we were producing 100% of our own gas, that is not energy independence. You are still dependent on one small group, and they can be purchased or have their own agenda.

We need a mixture of ICE, EV, maybe hydrogen vehicles one day and whatever is next. Just like we should have a healthy mixture of power plants that utilize natural gas, wind, solar, hydro, nuclear, clean(ish) coal, those plasma trash burning power plants, microwaves from space, anti-matter, what am I missing here?

We don’t need people just completely bashing things they have no f’ing clue about, just because they don’t agree with someone in DC. NO ONE is forcing you to buy an EV. Despite what the dipshit in office is saying. That simply isn’t possible. It’s not possible today and it’s not going to be possible in 2035. I would bet 20 gallons of gas (at today’s prices) that in 2035 you will be able to walk into a ford dealership and pick out an f150 that is gas, diesel, an EV and possibly hydrogen powered. You won’t be limited to just one of those.

When the Democrats are "in control" of the House, Senate, and the Whitehouse, please explain to me again what the Republicans are "supposed" to do? Republican ideas are thwarted at every turn. I suspect that you would also say that the problems in Chicago are also the "Republican's" fault.
For one, they could put forth politicians and policies that don’t completely alienate half the population, and thus handing the government over to the libtards.

I don’t care if anyone buys one I just love watching it beat everything in its way.
Damn that Demon sounds good though.

Here’s the problem. Your first two paragraphs are good. But then you go into denial about what the powers that be are doing with regard to forcing EVs.

No, you are biasing what I am saying. I am acknowledging that they are trying to force EVs. I am saying that Their efforts are wasted, because there simply isn’t enough supply chain to support AND the republicans will nix the idea shortly. We all know the oil companies are lining the pockets of the republicans. This policy won’t go unchallenged.

yes, the current democrats want to force you to buy an EV. But they are not currently forcing you to, nor will they ever force you to.

And here’s the flip side of the problem. If you want to bash the current administration. Have at it. But spreading misinformation and lies about a product isn’t necessary, nor is it helpful. We need EVs. We need ICE cars. You don’t have to buy an EV. Ever. Options are good for us. Otherwise we would all be driving Yugos. And yes we should be supporting the development of EVs and the infrastructure to support them. This is good for competition, keeps us competitive with the rest of the world and is ultimately good for us.

We don't "need" EV's. We Need reliable long distance supply chain transportation. That is diesel and will be diesel for the foreseeable future. Our government including the Paris Accord doesn't see it that way. Most of our representatives also see it that way but they are simply falling in line with the executive branch for one of the political parties.

You seem to underestimate them. They are decimating the economy and using their propaganda arm (the MSM) to normalize brownouts and blackouts, in America in 2022. You don't see any issues with that? They are gutting / killing America as we know it - that is their goal and they have said it. When gas is $10/gallon - how is that not forcing you to buy an EV?

Biden is also working hard at disarming the populace any ways he can and finding backdoor ways to get it done (see the recent announcement about the Lake City Ammo Plant)...

Hell, most American's believed the BS about the common cold being deadly and now they are normalizing healthy people, dropping dead....

It's amazing how well propaganda works....

Once again, I present California as the poster child of the ICE future.

Keep your head buried all you want. Good luck.

I don’t disagree with that. Diesel and/or gas are both needed for ships, trucks, trains, etc.

No one IS currently forced to buy an EV. This is a factual statement.

IMO, no one will be forced to buy an EV in 2035. Even Californians will be able to travel to Nevada to buy an ICE.
