The future of EVs? Maybe not so bad?

No one IS currently forced to buy an EV. This is a factual statement.

IMO, no one will be forced to buy an EV in 2035. Even Californians will be able to travel to Nevada to buy an ICE.
Along with a $10,000/year surcharge to own that ICE I'm sure

Dude, your splitting hairs. It's coming whether you believe it or not.

Currently, California residents cannot purchase and register a “non-california” emissions vehicle in California.

Only people who move to California already owning such a vehicle can bring a federal emissions vehicle into the a state.

If 2035 California emissions specify ZEV ONLY, California residents will not be able to buy an ICE vehicle out of state and bring it into California.

Then just Move. There are many other great areas to live in.

Are you suggesting that Californians shouldn’t be able to create their own rules? If they don’t want ICE cars that’s their decision. That’s not a f u. That’s me respecting their rights.
