Table Rock Lake

This will get your summer motor running! My daughter and I just shut the engines down and watched the sun set and had dinner a few weeks ago. But the she remembered it was time for American Idol. So I had to fire up the genny and let her watch TV. It was a wonderful sunset! Which was a far cry from today! We were out on the lake when one of those big storm cells blew in! WOW!!

Great pics....love being on the lake at sunset!!

Who's going to be out this weekend? Weather looks good, if not a bit cool.

Anybody know what the water temp is?

Tim....we plan on going down Saturday afternoon....we have been dealing with some of my parent's health issues...so plans are always subject to change.

A guy I work with fishing on Monday and said the temp was around 70.

Well, it was an awesome weekend. Great weather and the lake wasn't too busy. Both boys got some serious time on the wake board. We had so much fun we were all too tired to head back out for the fireworks on Sunday.

Only bad thing was the Smart Craft display going out on Sunday. It took the speedo and trim gauge with it. Oh, that and the boat was filthy from MM taking our covers over the winter to have them fixed. I'm glad I had the carpet out, or it would have been worse. We spent 2 hours on Saturday detailing the inside of the boat. Our marina was nuts, so we couldn't get the boat put on a bunk to wash and wax, so I'm gonna have to pay to have someone do that.

Tim....is your smartcraft stuff still under warranty? If you need the name of a guy to wax and buff, let me know. There is a guy who does alot of boats at the Harbor and State Park.

Thanks Jeff. I'm throwing a bone to one of the guys at our high and dry that always helps us out.

We are in the first year of a four year extended warranty, passport premiere. So yes, it is under warranty. The tach that went out is less than a year old, so we'd have warranty any way. But this will be our 4th tach, so I'm starting to wonder if there is a problem with the whole system. The MM service rep for Table Rock wanted me to run out to my boat and unplug the tach for a few minutes to see if that would reset it. I explained that wasn't exactly possible and that I didn't want to wait and risk running another weekend without SmartCraft gauges. I'm not sure if the engine guardian still operates when the smartcraft monitor is down.

Ah yes....another summer at the lake. I started this yr with only one small boat issue. My subwoofer is blown. Already had a couple great weekends out there with Kurt. Jeff, where are you dropping anchor this yr?

Scott....we typically go to Combs Ferry or Powerline cove by Chateau. The water is an enjoyable temperature already. Hey at least the sub is cheaper that a new AC unit.....

Had an awesome weekend at the lake. Friday we had the whole lake to ourselves . Unfortunately, after six years of service, our anchor decided to stay on the bottom. Of course this happened on the one day that I didn't have a knife on the boat. Ever try cutting 1/2" line with wire cutters? Not fun.

But I had five teenagers (two of them mine) on the boat, or should I say tubes, all weekend and they had a blast. I'm not sure who was more worn out though, I think I might be getting old.:wow:

FYI...there is a new restaraunt that has opened at Rock Lane Lodge this year. It is Charlie's Steakhouse(there is another one in Branson). I think it has been open about a month. One of the guys on our dock gave me a chicken tender from there and it was really good. This morning, we drove over there to see if they were open for breakfast...and they were. Next time we will boat over, since they have a courtesty dock.

Awesome, thanks for sharing Jeff. I'm always looking for places to go for dinner by boat. Big Cedar gets old.

I am always looking for other places to boat to. The breakfast buffet at Chateau is awesome. We have been there for dinner several times, but it can get pricey. We went down to Big Cedar a few weeks ago and went to the Truman Smokehouse for lunch. They used to serve a BBQ sandwich, which was pretty good...but, they no longer serve it. I wish there were more places on the water.

I dind't know the Chateau had a breakfast buffet. I guess I didn't realize they had a courtesy dock.

The Worman house at Big Cedar has an awesome Sunday brunch. The Buzzard bar serves a pretty good dinner too.

Tim....I usually tie up on the end of the covered dock at Chateau...I cant fit in any of the covered slips. I have also tied up in their uncovered slips. If you go to Chateau, they have a courtesy phone on the side of the marina dock house....just pick it up and tell them shuttle pick up at the marina...and they will send a van down to the marina to pick you up.

Here Comes the Storm boys! Sitting on the boat down here in Lampe, MO and watching the radar... This is gonna be a fun ride.. 60 mph winds and this storm has produced a few tornado warnings as it's headed this way... Good ole Missouri Weather!...

What a crazy weather month. When's the last time Table Rock has seen 7" of rain in July? It's only the 13th and there's been 6.92" already. We were dodging rain almost every day last week. I got sick of covering the boat and just had it put up in the high and dry Thursday and Friday, which sucked. Saturday was awesome though.

Tim....were you leaving Chateau around noon on Saturday? We were heading in there and I saw a boat similar to your pic leaving....but I didn't think it might be you until later.

Yes, that would have been me. I went in to have a look around the docks. I didn't see you, or I would have stopped. But if I remember correctly, I was haulin' a$$ out of there, I think it was time for lunch.

We have become regulars of the Buzzard Bar lately and I must say food is great, drinks are strong and Clay is always picking on me. What can I say it is a great time. We have had a great time this year so far, mostly just Scott and I and the girls. It has been so hot we have had to leave Freddy home. I swear I lost 5# waxing the boat on Friday. I went with Flagship and I have to say it was tough but looks better than Leverage. It feels smooth as butter. Hope everyone is having a great summer. We will be at the Aquapalooza Sat. Does anyone know where I can exchange a bad Taylor Made fender now that MM is closed?

Kurt...I have not been to Buzzards Bar....we will have to check it out. Since I talked to you at the gym, I had another thought about your fender...if you cant find someone locally to exchange it. Call MM at LOTO and see if they will send one down to the sales dock for you and allow you to exchange it at the sales dock.

Buzzard's bar is awesome. The kids love it. Jeff, you may have an issue finding dock space.

Kurt, like Jeff said, call MM at LOTO. I have had a lot of dealings with them in the past year, and they have been very helpful.
