Survey's in...about to buy this '09 350DA, but..

How did you know needed to rebed your windlass again? I don't have a moisture meter and just wanted to make sure the job was done and/or done right

This isn't my first rodeo………I knew that area was subject to moisture intrusion since a wet line slings water as it passes thru the windlass. It just took me a year to get to it after buying the boat.

I stopped by my marina today and my dockmaster told some tenants there I was getting this boat. HAHA everyone that saw me there congratulated me and everyone told me "Make sure you setup a gas tip jar"

Most anodes are one or two bolts. I hardly classify that as "working on the boat".

If worst comes to worst they can be changed in the water.

I would suggest do on land. You will probably drop a bolt or screw trying to change in the water and hard to see what your doing.

Good to know for the future, the dealer is changing all them out for me as part of the deal.

I youtubed it and 'Eddie' from the long island boaters club helped wih that.

Enjoy the time off...PLENTY of season ahead. I picked up this boat on 7/5/09, and we put close to 50 hrs on her that summer.

Boat's home in VA now...Took me 8hrs to make the trip. Enjoyed the nice weather we had, the bay was clear as glass, cruised at around 3400RPM at 27knots most of the way. Stopped twice, once to enjoy the deck grill and 2nd to add 60gals of gas to the tanks to make the rest of the trip home.
