Still Pond Raft '09

Ok - glad I realized this today and will make it public information - instead of getting ribbed by all of you this summer. I am glad I realized this today - b/c I know I would be getting an ear from everyone after a few beers when the bon fire is the only light we are seeing.

This weekend will only be a half-moon - no full moon. I was reading all of my cruise dates off to my buddy today and realized the Still Pond Raft Up was missing - then I realized I wrote it in 2008 not 2009. I bought a half-price calendar to put my 2009 trip planning in and sure enough there is half of 2008 in it. So I screwed up and wrote the raft-up in 2008 and that is when I noticed that my book said "full moon."

If we were doing it last year it would have been a full moon.

Uh...so we can deal with a half moon...a warm bon fire....and a few more beers?

As of now, Friday. I think Larry (River Gal) may also be planning on coming up then too. The three of us would make a nice anchor point for the raft! (And probably allow space for a couple more boats... first come, first served Boys!)

Yes, this is partially an opportunity for me to gratuitously post some of my pictures from last summer, but I'm also serious about trying to get an "official" raft-up going, Maybe pre-post BIH?

No go for this weekend. The travel lift is getting a new engine at the marina and they're a week behind schedule. :smt021
 
OK, the reason I askied is we can post this on our web site. Most of our group will be going to Aqua, but coming up for a big party on Saturday night would be cool.

The more the merrier. The "Coast Guard spit" will fill quickly, but there is virtually unlimited room in Still Pond Creek and as you know it is a safe and well protected anchorage.
 
As Still Pond is one of our favorite hang outs, I will most likely be there.

July 18...May take Friday off and get there on Friday. Have to check the wifes schedule to see if she is working that weekend, I will tell her to take off, as she has a ton of vacation time.
