Well the mechanic said he was putting our boat in next Friday come hell or high water which are both possible in Lake Erie depending on the direction of the wind. He's getting his shop cleared out for all the spring last minute prepers.

I am surprised you would get a big push ...being that protected.... I saw on the islands a couple of feet last year this time of year.. And that makes sense.but wouldn't think the same in your area... I am floating dock side tie... So I feel a bit betterI've been in for a week. With the North East wind today the water started to come over my dock(at Midway, Catawba Island). It was back down again by the evening. It's going to be an interesting summer for sure!
They have rule here at my marina that you have to face a certain way. Fortunately it’s the right way. So I don’t have an option. I spin it around once in a while to wash it but that’s it. I always like the aft facing the morning sun rise so it dries the aft canvas in the morning if covered in dew or it rained... that is the way I face nowBlueone...you are side tie...I'm on the T-head of my dock. Question for you...Do you ever switch sides that you tie up on? I always tie up starboard side to, but I'm starting to rethink this. Especially during the winter. The wind at my marina comes from the North. As starboard side to, my stern is into the wind. I'm thinking of spinning the boat next winter. Thoughts?

Sorry about your damage... at least it can be fixed in your slip. I like your taste in beer!Well.... Splash 2019 didn’t go so smooth. The boat behind me was close ... the boat beside me was close and when I mean close I mean overlapping. So when they raised me off the stands and blocks my swim platform hit the bow keel of the boat behind me... first going up accident I ever had. Then I’m told there is someone in my slip and they refuse to move so you’re going to have to park somewhere else....and of course no management is here. Not a good start
A beer is helping
100%! I think the squatter and I would have a friendly discussion.. Miller Lite is properWow, I would be so pissed off is they damaged my swim platform while lifting the boat. Then, the squatter,
I turn around once in a while. We're good unless the wind is strong out of the east, sure helps with the bouncing and noise to turn around.Blueone...you are side tie...I'm on the T-head of my dock.
