So, lets talk weather....

Well, this depicts the crappy month we just got through. Even the dry days were mostly cloudy. View attachment 158376
This years weather must have shifted west towards you. Last year we had record snow and Winter lasted until around May. Right now, when it’s suppose to be 0, we’re in the 40’s. Plus it’s dry. Whatever snow we had has melted. I’m ready for Spring, but experience tells me we’ll get at least one wallop of a storm before the season ends.

We were way over average with snow, then we got the heavy rain last week which resulted in river flooding. I'm near a feeder stream to the Clinton River on Lake St Clair and it's still over its banks. Snow is gone except for the snow plow piles. Saying 50° next Friday but with more rain.

We had a little thunderstorm roll through yesterday afternoon, feels like spring

Well we decided to take a break from our mild southern Ontario winter and spend a month in Florida. We spent 4 days at my wife’s cousins ranch on the Suwannee River. Cool place. Would love to be there in the heat of the summer.

Now we’re in Cape Coral for the next three weeks in a nice house we rented on a canal. I rented a fishing kayak for the time we’re here and probably will rent a boat for a while too. We have the use of the boat lift here which is nice.

And now back to my beer.

Winter is going to hit. April- May. When we want to start doing spring stuff. I usually love winter. This has been the most depressing winter ever.

I gotta agree. If it’s going to be winter, you want winter. Cool enough for snow on the ground and some sunshine too. Around southern Ontario it’s been mild with no snow, but gray skies for months. It’s nice to escape south for a while. And now that I‘m retired, I’m not on a schedule. So when our rental is finished in March, we’ll decide if we want to head home or find another destination for a while.

The area on the Suwanne river was really cool. We took the boat up river to the springs on the Ichetuckney river and swam a bit in the clear water. Very cool spot. Would be awesome in the hot summer.

Snow just hit here, they were calling for 4-8” earlier in the week, looks like heavy snow going to stay south of us

I expect to see a post in a couple of weeks from the same place with some tan on those lilly white legs. ;)

I want to see something like this. ;) Just after getting my right knee scoped.

Just did the local ice fishing tourney yesterday. 1st time it was ever held indoors I guess. Raffles and beer.

Looks like you’ve got a zipper on the left knee too! Working on the tan. One day at a time.

We are getting some type of cataclysmic event tonight into tomorrow. Like 4-8 inches. The local media makes so much drama. I am surprised they don' have the storm named. This is just nuisance snow.

Isn't that just flurries for you guys? I worked with a guy from Buffalo. He was always amazed that schools here would close because of a couple inches of snow. He always said that growing up in Buffalo, schools wouldn't until there were a couple feet of snow.

It was. Now things close the night before. Or worse , the last 2 storms that happened during the day had kids go to school then dismissal at like 11am. Right in the worst part of the storm. I swear common sense is gone.
