Yep a 12 flat car was rare and they really weren't very happy running around on the street back in the 70's. Now there are dozens that'll click of 11's and quicker right off the showroom and easily tool around town getting close to 20 mpg.Dealer I used to work at had a 440 six pack, four speed 69 Super Bee they raced back in the early 70s. With setting the carbs to open quicker, a new cam ground to exact stock specs, and tighter valve springs We got it into the low 12s. Best run was a 12.01.
