So let's hear about and see your cars.

Dealer I used to work at had a 440 six pack, four speed 69 Super Bee they raced back in the early 70s. With setting the carbs to open quicker, a new cam ground to exact stock specs, and tighter valve springs We got it into the low 12s. Best run was a 12.01.
Yep a 12 flat car was rare and they really weren't very happy running around on the street back in the 70's. Now there are dozens that'll click of 11's and quicker right off the showroom and easily tool around town getting close to 20 mpg.

And me on my V code (440 Six Pack) 71 Dodge Challenger R/T that had 8000 miles on it. I still have the title to remind me how foolish I was back then.

Now, hold on. You had an E-body six-pack, with 8000 miles, and lived on Warm Springs Avenue; what the hell happened?

So, since I am selling the 506 I will have a ton of time on my hands. I have been trying to decide what to do with my 1969 Alfa Romeo Duetto project for several years now and I think it is time to finish it. I have a couple of helpers that want the experience of building a classic sports car. A student in my AMT program and his 15 year old son. Very impressive duo actually. They came over today to talk about the project and with about 5 ours we took it from a shell sitting on furniture dollies to sitting on four tires. We will put it on my lift and start the rest of the reassembly. The car is stripped down with all plumbing out of it so we start with installing all new fuel and brake lines, then reinstall the engine and transmission and get her to a body shop for a few repairs and paint. Going back to 90% original in original paint and interior.
The first pictures are of the car in her glory back between 80 and 89 when I took her apart for restoration, then got married, started a business and 30 years later here we are ready to complete her.

To tell you the truth, we bit off more than we enjoy chewing together. We should have stayed put in the 44. No decision is perfect. The boat was interfering with a peaceful household for the first time in our 30 years of boating. We are going to back away from boating for at least a while and maybe for ever.

I didn't have a crystal ball. That car was Lemon Twist with a large black R/T on the hood and two black stripes down the sides with R/T on the ends of those. It was a 4 speed car with black vinyl top. Fuel prices were escalating, and I was driving back and forth to the Tri Cities in Wa. I needed better economy.
I still have my all black 1970 Ply Hemi Cuda - albeit not original engine.

As long as you still have a Hemi in it. They’re such neat engines.

How's it run?
It just has the 8 miles I drove it back to the house. I won't stand on it much until I hit 500 miles. Problem is I'll store it for the winter Nov 1st. Not much time. Specs show 0-60 in 3.5 secs. Top end is 190+. Really bought it more for the looks than performance which is OK. It has the 10 speed auto.

Pretty cool! They're calling it a gen7, but, unlike prior gens of the Mustang, I don't see that much different from my gen6. At least it still looks like a Mustang, unlike the mach E EV.

That blue thing is supposed to be a Mustang? Good grief.
They should call it a “Pinto EV” instead of trying to lure Mustang fans to buy that load of crap.
I have a Deep Impact Blue 2013 Mustang with the 300hp V6. Impressive vehicle. Runs strong. Handles great. Looks great. I refuse to acknowledge its nominal affiliation with that potato-shaped abomination. Call it like it is - the reincarnation of the Pinto!!!

Looks like a Camaro. Ford should be more creative than than just copying a Chevy.
Them's fightin' words, buddy! ;)

No need to insult the Pinto. :D I also don't understand why Ford would call it a Mustang. Call it an Escape or Explorer, since that's closer to what this thing is.
