Pull the plugs and hit the key to run the starter (I would disconnect power plug at cool fuel module to shut off fuel flow). Water will fly out from a cylinder that has water intrusion.
If this is truly happening you do not want to run the engine since that water can hydrolock the engine and do serious damage.
Other then the rear plug on starboard side, they are relatively easy to get to. Likely need a swivel to get to the rear one.

Not saying this is your problem, but when I hear suddenly running rough and starter has a hard time turning over the engine, I think water in a cylinder from exhaust manifolds/risers.

That's not my problem at all, and I never said it was. The motor never ran rough; it just threw a high oil pressure alarm. Even with the alarm on it ran fine.

EDIT: I think you're confusing me with rggale.

^^^ Yes, sorry, my comments were to rggale. Corrected the earlier post.

UPDATE: I had the boat out the other day and we pushed it hard. No alarm. I'm thinking I have an oil pressure sensor with issues.

Does anyone have some good images or a diagram that shows the ski locker bilge and where it is located? I think I have a blockage that needs to be cleared.

I know it is at the very rear of the ski locker. I had a stuck float switch and was able to slip my fingers under the board used to protect the pump and free up the float switch.

There is a round access port that spins out, mounted in the wall at the rear of the ski locker. Spin that little door out and you can see and reach the pump and switch.

My 270 slx does not have the arch. I ordered a Westland full cover from Bald Mikes. It is a PERFECT fit and high quality. Shipped to the house for around 5 bills.

Thanks. Yeah, it seems many on this forum recommend Bald Mikes. I was thinking about giving Northstar a try since they are supporting vendors of CSR.

Can any of you tell me where the arch connects to the boat on the starboard side, is there a rubber gasket that separates the arch from the boat?

For those following along at home...I present you with one of many boating nightmares:

Watch your water temp gauge like a hawk. You never know when you'll suck up a garbage bag and block your intake.

Looks like Boat US insurance will be footing the bill on this one, but not in stone yet.

Not even 160h on the block.

Anyone can tell me if their sport arch has something between the connection point to the boat and the arch itself.

Time to put a Whipple S/C on that thing once you rebuild it.

I hear the insurance company doesn't want to use anything rebuilt, and merc doesn't make the 6.2 anymore, so I'll be getting a 383 stroker with a 10% power boost. A S/C would be nice...

Just on www.SeaRay.com and noticed there is no 270 SLX model for 2016. Looks like 2015 was the last year.
I saw that and thought maybe they were doing a refresh design and it was not ready yet. Shame if they discontinue that model, great size day boat. Large day boat with single engine is a sweet spot and they are leaving it out of their portfolio.

There is a whole new host of new SLXs for 2016: 230, 250, 280, and 310.

Supposedly the first ones will be released in Florida in the fall.
