I hear ya Tim, One trip I'm on the west coast (FL), next East coast, and some awesome fresh water boating on St Johns river, then headed to the Bahamas for a second trip. When/If I do an upgrade I'm gonna miss being able to put it behind the truck and go somewhere I've never been.
Great minds think alike...... But one headache at a time.....LOLI don't think I will ever upgrade past a 280 SD. I love trailering too much. Maybe if you do upgrade, you'll need a 20something runabout also
In the area where I live the manatee protection zones extend around 100 yards from the shore and the rest of the ICW is mostly unprotected. When I look at the manatee protection zone maps at myfwc.com for the area where Shaun is looking (south Indian River County and Martin County) it looks like everything but the channel is a year round idle zone in the ICW. Even the channel appears to be limited to 25 mph. Can any local boaters tell me if I am misinterpreting that?
25mph? That's fast enough! At 20.7 MPH I am on step burning 14GPH per engine!!!
As I look outside at the non stop snow I can't help but get excited that one week from today we will be in FL and about this time ill be hanging out getting info from my new marina. Final tally I have 4 interviews and heather has 3. Think we have our schedule figured out and I believe we found our home, too. Of course we have to see it in person but have been in regular contact with the owner and have gotten enough info on it that were pretty sure it's the one. Getting nervously excited!

Shaun,
We met/talked briefly at the Knoxville Homecoming & I said to my wife, "they seemed like a pretty cool couple". That being said, it sounds like something "pretty cool" is happening in your life. It also sounds to me like you are and have been doing everything right. From your family & friends, to your research & planning.
Congratulations & good luck,
Michael
Well our "run to the sun" is taking flight tomorrow. We fly out at 10:55 am, land at 2:00 and have our first house showing at 4:00! Should be a very busy, but productive week!! I'll update if anything worth mentioning happens. Thanks again to everyone for the advise and encouragement!!!
