Hate to tell you, but we have many snowbirds that come to FL for the winter who live in the Carolinas in the summer but come to escape the cold:) However, summer in the Carolinas, especially in the mountain areas, I am told is superb.
 
Had my second interview tonight. Didn't think it was possible but I got a better offer and closer to the home were looking at!! Same money and schedule as the first place but was offered a management position! We, more than ever are feeling like this is meant to be!

Lordy, Lordy Shaun, by the time you get to the last interview at thie rate they'll be giving you the company LOL! Very best of luck. BTW how'd you like the weather so far?

Lol, that's about the same thing Heather said! I've been overwhelmed by the response I've gotten but from what I've been told they're desperate for younger, more progressive thinking directors here and I guess I have a good way of selling myself so they are latching on! The weather so far has been great! Especially since all our Facebook friends and family are complaining of the winter storms at home...

Seriously, I am far from surprised at the response you are getting, believe me good staff can be VERY hard to find here. If you have a good work ethic you will really succeed and I am positive your wife will have no trouble either. Us employers here just love employees that move down from the north.
 
Sounds good so far Shaun! Keep on an even kneel and interview like you have no other offers. You should do great down there if for no reason other than the supply and demand theory. I wish you both well and hopefully the new employment and cost of living covers the increased cost of boating in FLA.

Looks like your dreams are about to come true Shaun. Good luck with the interviews. I was hoping to make it to the boat show but doesn;t look like I'm making it down there this year.
 
Heather just had her first interview and it went very well. They didn't offer her the spot today but she seems very confident that an offer will come within the week. I have another today at 330 and she has her final one tomorrow morning. After that its off to cocoa beach to meet up with Capt. Rusty, then headed south to spend a day in the keys and then the Miami boat show. Not too many complaints to how this week has gone!!!

I think because of all we still want to do we aren't gonna go much past Key Largo but I will certainly look for one!
