Maybe it's just winter coming on but I have been noticing
alot less traffic on here.
Seemed to start down with the closing of the Sea Ray Knoxville
Headquarters and now in the aftermath of Sandy and the lack
of midwest rain all summer ....
Is no one talking about boating anymore
Seemed alot more active this time last year.

I am on here daily but post much less than I used too ( oh yeah...and I don't have a Sea Ray anymore).

I'm still here too. I also visit the site almost daily, I'm just not a big poster, only have a few hundred posts in 3.5 years.
What I've noticed ( in addition to Wayne's silence) is little to nothing out of Gary or Hampton in a long time.

I think Hampton sailed off into the sunset and GW is trying to become a billionaire which seems to be keeping him busy and unavailable to stir the pot.

Those guys spend all of their time on the supre secret Sea Ray diesel boat site. I have barely posted over the last year and a half due to being unemployed. My priorities changed a lot. Now I'm getting back into it and getting excited for the summer. Having a job makes that a lot easier.

I check several times a day, but don't post that much. I usually post when there is a question I can answer, which is usually relegated to the Classics forum or Engines forum.
I usually surf the boating sites more in winter than summer since in summer I try to be on the boat and not in front of the computer :).

I too check in a few times a day but the new job keeps me really busy. That and school. (Which I kept my 4.0) even working 55+ hours a week, god, I need a vacation.

I think I bought the two least discussed boats on this forum.

97 280ss

then

97 290DA with the 98-01 styling.

It's kinda hard to get a conversation going.

I check in daily, working harder than ever, just to be able to afford boating. Thats how the "change" affects me. (grin)

I visit often and rarely post, always been that way. If I feel I can contribute, I post.

See Jim...you started a thread that has some action! I guess that's what it takes.

I'm on the site 3-4 times a day when I have a few minutes. This time of the year is crazy busy for radio guys which isn't a bad thing since my boat is also on the hard mocking me as I drive by the marina daily and can see it all wrapped up and cold!

I'm thinking more posts from southern US where there's still warm weather, the West Coast up to Seattle/Vancouver where there's year round boating and Australia just may fix us all up. Pics always help too...

I read it twice daily and really enjoy the threads.Although my 450 isn't among the most popular read I am interested in what others are experiencing. Always a learning curve and it reassures me we have a common passion.
Spring is around the corner so live this American Dream while we can!

I think I post enough to keep this site goin, dont you? Well with l the storm damage up here on the east coast a lot of people have been busy. Dont worry things will pick up soon. Well it better its killing my daily reading.

I'm on here several times a day just checking around to see what's new. I post when I have something to say, but mainly I'm a lurker.

What Super Secret Sea Ray Diesel site??????? Curious minds want to know.

"What Super Secret Sea Ray Diesel site??????? Curious minds want to know."

That's an old joke from the diesel guys on here giving us gassers a hard time.

Same here....I'm looking in several times a day. Actually been shopping for a small Whaler. Maybe a 15 footer.

I have been doing my best all year to pick up the slack. Although some of my threads seem to die an inatant death.

CSR helps me get through the winter, that's for sure! It's natural to have fewer posters while our mistresses are tucked away for the winter, but I really enjoy trying to troubleshoot issues with fellow boaters and get a kick out of meeting different people from different areas.

As far as boating enthusiasm, I've become more "level" over the last 20yrs instead of driving myself (and everyone around me) nuts whining about not being able to go boating or taking weekly trips to the boat while in storage just to visit. Next spring will come and boating will resume and whatever happens, it will be great to get back to boating!!
