I bought a 2000 SR 340 Sundancer and was trying to search for FM radio channel 88.3 (so that I could try hooking up my XM docking station and listen to XM while out on the water). I noticed that I am only able to pick up about 3 radio channels using the search knob (I don't see any way to manually tune channels). I do not have a Glomex antenna on the arch (looks like maybe there use to be on it as there is a 3 inch high pole sticking up out of arch with a cap on it). Do you think my problem is just the lack of a radio antenna? Anyone know how to manually tune a stock Clarion AM/FM stereo with 6 CD changer? Which would you suggest using for XM docking station, a car docking station or a home docking station? Any other ideas/suggestions? Thanks!

Thanks for the replies guys! Kreole Kid, the surveyor's report lists this as Clarion Marine M5470 AM/fM/CD player with Clarion Marine M653 CD changer. Old Vet, sounds like a good idea...time to start googling and get a manual. I may just go ahead and put a glomex antenna back on with a splitter for the TV and radio...can't hurt. Thanks again to both of you!

Hmmm, checked the internet and was not able to find an owner's manual for the Clarion Marine M5470 AM/FM/CD radio. If anyone know where I can get one I would appreciate it. Or, if you have one and would be willing to send me a copy I could pay you for it. I just joined this forum yesterday, so thanks again from the newbie!

You may have to simply search for a current manual from clarions support website at :

http://www.clarion.com/jsp/search/ProductManuals.do

If you select model M455A and look at page 18 of its manual it will show you how to select from "Preset Scan", which is where you are now, to "Manual Scan". Of course this is for current model but you have the same funtion in the menu of your model.

MOJO 1 pm me your snail mail address I've got the manual copied and ready to send.

Anyway, press the "band" button ( far right top button) for more than 2 sec. should go to manual. Press the left/right buttons (round button controller on the left side of unit) to select station.
