Hello. I read in some of the posts that you were the guy to consult with stereo upgrade questions. I will try to be brief. I have a 1988 230CC. The stock stereo is a Sony am/fm cassette with 4 6" Autiovox speakers. I would like to upgrade it with something a little more modern and of better quality. I'm thinking a head unit with Ipod input, six 6" speakers and two 8" subs with a 400w amp. My main stumbling block right now is figuring out how to wire the speakers on the port side. Do you need to run wire from the helm, down the stern side, around the transom and back up the port side? Do you cut the speaker holes with a hole saw? I'm very much an amateur at this so I'm in info gathering mode. Thanks for any assistance. Dave Taylor.
