Pulled The Trigger -- New 280DA Owner

Congratulations on the new boat. You're going to really enjoy it.

Hey Turtle Mike, did you notice his port side cup holder??
I was going to say the same about the cup holder. that must be why you can't get replacement ones from Sea Ray anymore.

Sounds awesome.

Sounds like you know *exactly* what you need. . .a good formula for success!

We picked it up for close to 45% below MSRP. We priced the 280DA last year before getting the SD and the best we could get at the time was about 30% under MSRP

When you factor in the depreciation from the boat being a full model year old before it ever touches the water, I'd say the deal was about the same.

Anyway, congrats on a beautiful boat.

Congratulations. You got a great deal. I agree, you could not pass that up. She is a pretty boat. I like that you got the single 496 and a generator. You must have a lot of room in the engine compartment. Should go well with the 375 HP. Enjoy it.

Here's what she looks like...

I'm the rare type that won't finance a toy, but I'm glad to see that sombody is finding value in these tough times. Why not buy now, like he said saved 20K if he bought last year. Can't fault that.
Got to say NICE BOAT!:smt038 Made me drool in envy!!

CONNNNNNGRATSSS!!! You are going to LOVE your new girl. We have had our boat now since Nov. 9. She had 30 min. on her and now we have 68 hours. We have problems!!! So happy for you!!

ENJOY!!!

Congrats on the 280, Im jealous. Even though i dont have a boat yet, last summer i came really close to buying a 2002 280. I just fell in ove with that boat. Cant really affoard one yet but hopefully one of these days we will, even though it might be a open bow type boat. Any way, congrats on the purchase.

I need a 280 too!
Unfortunately the economic uncertainty may affect me too... we'll have to wait and see.

She's a beaut!!! This will be our 3rd summer with our 280 and we absolutely love ours. I like the new seat design and wood tables. I lost out on a wood table on Ebay last year with the same deminsions; it came out of a 320DA or 340DA.

Congratulations!
We have a very similar story...we bought a 220SD just last September and have now traded it for a new 2008 260DA. Like you, both boats are in Rodgers. And, like you, I will be visiting the store frequently

A slip in Afton will be it's new home.

I believe we saw your new boat on a recent visit to Rodgers! Our sales person was going to show us the 280, but the owner (probably you) was on board at the tiime.

Small world!

Thanks for permission to come aboard! We might sneak a peek...without shoes :) Our 260 is coming down from Walker. It'll also be parked in the back for prep.

Hope to run into you! Perhaps we can comfort each other while waiting for the thaw.
