Well, I need to change my user name. Today we traded in the 240SD and closed on a brand new '08 280 Sundancer :smt038:smt038 We made the offer at the boat show a couple of weeks ago and got everything finalized today.

I can't wait for spring.

Congradulations, We are looking forward to seeing Spring also. That was a nice boat. I saw it at the show. I too am waiting to get my 280 this Spring also. Mine is in Rogers waiting for the ice to melt.
Where will you be keeping it?

Congratulations!! Give us the scoop. Power, options, etc.?

I live close enough to the river. We are about 30 minutes away from our slip. But we are about an hour and a half from Rogers. I have been too tied up with work to get up there and so am waiting the 80+ days for the ice to go away and then we will take delivery.
Once again, congrats.

Very Cool. Congrats. Ask Jim or Wesley if they can edit your screen name. When I was Nehalennia II, and then bought this boat, decided to name it Nehalennia, wished I could edit the nam, but didn't ask. On a local site the Admin could.

Anyway, Congrats!!! That will be a great new boat. Did you get the twin 4.3s or ?

Very Very COOL,

I love the smell of a new boat. You are gonna love it!

regards,

Jeff

Thanks everyone!

From the option list:

1. 496 MAG w/BIII and DTS
2. AC/Heat
3. Bottom paint
4. 5.0 kw Kohler generator
5. Transom stereo remote
6. iPod interface
7. 19" flat screen TV with DVD
8. Fitted sheets
9. Spotlight, 5" remote control
10. Flag pole/base with US flag
11. Windlass with rope and chain
12. Full camper canvas
13. Cockpit cover
14. White hull

The 496 vs. twins isn't a huge deal for us -- plus, the maintenance, winterizing, etc is double with the twins.

We also went with the white hull this time. I love the look of our 240's black hull but it was impossible to keep up with it. Our lake water is so hard that the hull looked dull unless it was freshly waxed.

Looking Good!
That is the 1st time I've notice the wood table on a 280.

Looks good, I'm sure you'll like it. Are you going to tow..did you get a trailer? Did you shop used too before looking at new ones?

Congratulations on the new boat. You're going to really enjoy it.

Hey Turtle Mike, did you notice his port side cup holder??

looking sweet. I like those tables too. I'm eyeing that cupholder hahaha. Looks like they changed the dash there and got rid of the indented cupholder thingy.

I love the 280. My wife and I keep looking. We would like to trade in our 260. I want the 280 and she wants a 340. So we keep on looking. I really like the layout of your boat. congrats.
