hey gastite! is that a sedan bridge or a sport fish? what year? thank GOD, another older bridge boat owner besides me! welcome!

After lots of thought and much debate, we decided that "STOLEN MOMENTS" was the most appropriate name for this stage in our lives. We have three teenage daughters and between jobs, kids, colleges and everything else that holds us all back from getting as much time at the boat that we would like, any time up there creating memories seems like a 'Stolen Moment'.

Cheers!

Tow Fetish

Because we have been in the Towing business since 1952....24 hours a day 7 days a week...and we wanted a name nobody else had.(Not because we are sexually deviant by the way)

Mr. Webster describes a fetish as "an object of irrational reverence or obsessive devotion" pretty much describes the Towing business!

Just got our boat a couple weeks ago. Havent got the new lettering to replace the old name which was California Dreamer. Its new name is (or will soon be) Seasu. It is a play on the Finnish word Sisu which represents the fortitude, determination, perseverance or spirit of the Finnish people. Interestingly the word Seasu can also be found in the Tolkein elvish dictionary, and it means pleasant.

My favorite right now is the name our son came up with for the dink. "His" boat will be called Happy Happy.
He'll be 4 in june.

At the time I asked my girlfriend of 12 years "do you want a new boat or an engagement ring" she opted for the ring, hence "Elisa's Ring". She ended up getting both.......

Believe it or knot, it took us 6 months..........

I wanted and reely liked a name I saw on another boat.
"QuitYourBitchen"
Because when I ask the guy who owned that boat why he named it that, he said:
Every time his wife ask him where he was going he would respond "QuitYourBitchen".

I reely loved it! But knew the wife would have trouble with it.

Then I went onto the "essence" thing. We like boating, thus "Sea", and we also like biking, thus "Harley" Therefore "SeaHarley", sounded like a winner.....

But the wife wasn't too happy bout that either.

So I had to focus on the female boat name thing.
We own and have owed 3 "Sea Rays".......
My wife's name is "Dawn Rae".....
After 6 months, a no brainer.

"Dawn Rae" III

Daaaaaaaa..

And the wife won.
And when she came down to the first boat and saw "her" name on it, she had a great big smile on her face..........
She said: "AAaaahhhh......... that's so sweet, I've never seen my name soooo big before".

And all is good!

Well, well, well..........looky at Lee sucking up, you gotta wonder about a guy that gives his boat a woman's name.........HE HE

John

It's All Good.

Launched in May 2005. It's on the plate of my Vette also. It's just the feeling we have when we are out on the water. Some may not see it as overly original but its a phrase I've used since the early 90's.

One mustn't get too worked up because in the end, It's All Good.

Do you have a tattoo of her name on an appendage you haven't told us about?

Just Kidding and congrats on the naming.

With a cigarette in one hand, a Guiness in the other, and by 2 100watt bulbs in the garage a couple of weeks ago...I applied the name.

Actually, yes...I like my ladies to be "spinners" or have some form of dwarfism.

The safety harness is to restrain me.
